About this property

Floor-to-Ceiling Harbour Views On The Wharf

A genuinely spacious two-bedroom apartment on iconic Princes Wharf — floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a remarkable 64 square metre deck with breathtaking harbour views. Two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and some of the most generous outdoor living space of any short-stay apartment in Auckland. The Viaduct, Ferry Terminal, and Commercial Bay are all minutes on foot. Guests consistently call out the space — and the views explain why.

The entire apartment is yours — both bedrooms, both bathrooms, the kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, and the 64m² deck. Access is via key safe — full instructions and codes will be sent the day before your arrival.

Check-in is from 3:00 PM. Keys are collected from a secure key safe — straightforward and available at any hour. Full instructions will be sent ahead of your arrival.

A private airport transfer can be arranged at additional cost with at least 48 hours notice.

While we will leave you in peace to enjoy your time in Auckland, we are available 24 hours a day for an emergency.

For those non-urgent like-to-haves, just give us a call or a quick message and we will do everything we can to make this your most memorable trip to Auckland yet.

Waterfront dining, history, and the wider city beyond
Princes Wharf itself is a dining destination in its own right, and you genuinely don`t need to leave the wharf for a memorable night out. Somm offers serious wine tasting alongside its menu, Wahlburgers brings its famous family-recipe burgers right to the water`s edge, and a string of waterfront restaurants serve everything from long, unhurried harbour-view lunches to special-occasion fine dining with fireplaces and sweeping outdoor terraces. Live music drifts from some of the bars on weekend evenings, and the wharf`s nautically-inspired architecture — buildings designed to evoke the lines of a ship — gives the whole precinct a distinct, polished character that`s quite different from the more boisterous Viaduct just around the corner.

Speaking of which, the Viaduct Harbour`s own celebrated restaurant and bar strip is a five-minute walk away, multiplying your dining options considerably for evenings when you want a change of scene. Commercial Bay`s flagship retail and dining complex and Britomart`s cobblestoned laneway precinct — with its boutique stores and acclaimed restaurants — are both within easy reach. The New Zealand Maritime Museum sits right at the base of the wharf, a genuinely worthwhile visit for anyone curious about the seafaring history that shaped this city, and the Auckland Ferry Terminal is close by with daily services to Waiheke Island, Devonport, and the Hauraki Gulf — making this one of the best possible bases for a day trip on the water.

Worth knowing: Princes Wharf has a quieter, more residential rhythm than the Viaduct on an average weeknight — it comes properly alive around events, cruise ship arrivals, and weekend evenings. Many guests find this a genuine plus, enjoying a calmer base to return to after a day exploring the busier parts of the city, with the option to dial up the energy by walking five minutes in either direction whenever they choose.

Auckland is easily explored from Princes Wharf. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is a short walk with regular services to Waiheke Island and beyond. Britomart Transport Centre connects the full train network. Uber and taxis are plentiful throughout the waterfront precinct. There is no car park with this apartment — paid public parking is available nearby in the Viaduct and CBD, managed by Wilson Parking with casual, early-bird, and long-term rates. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car or shuttle.

Please note that views and access may occasionally be affected when cruise ships are docked at the wharf — this is managed by the Ports of Auckland and outside our control, but we will always let you know in advance if we`re aware of any disruption during your stay.

Fabulous location poorly equipped

1st impression was wow terrific setting but as night drew the party’s started and went till 5 am. Even though it said in the write up no noise tolerated after 11pm. We couldn’t sleep for the 1st 2 night. It really reflected what we could do in the day as we were exhausted. Badly broken patio furniture including two chairs and the table. The living room furniture is filthy. We had one tiny bar a soap for 4 with a 5 day stay! We have rented VRBO many times and always been happy . I emailed the property management and they only replied a handy man would come 3 days later which never happened. The location was perfect walking distance to every thing. It’s a shame management wasn’t looking after this apartment properly.
