This property was amazing. It was very clean and very well equipped. I highly recommend families to stay at this house. It was very convenient to the center of the town.

Perfect Thanksgiving/Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed Thanksgiving week with our daughters driving in from Birmingham and Charlotte. Couldn’t have picked a better place. The house appears to have been recently remodeled and is updated. Of note the kitchen was well stocked which was obviously helpful given it was Thanksgiving. We would definitely rebook if the opportunity arises and recommend to anyone.

A true home away from home

Dolly Wood house is the top VRBO we have ever stayed in while in Highlands NC. This home is beautifully appointed in every way. Comfortable beds and linens, fully stocked kitchen, and cozy blankets to snuggle by the fire. The back deck is a perfect place to relax at the end of the day. There are wonderful surprise amenities in this home, perfect to keep you warm on colder days. The location makes it easy to get to the main street of Highlands and the roads to area hikes and other towns. This is home is a must stay!

Absolute gem of a home! We have been coming to Highlands for over a decade, and it is hard to find a house that hits all the high points - clean & updated, close to town, not precariously hanging off a cliff side (especially now with two small kids in tow) - and this place did not disappoint! So cute. We ate dinners & sipped morning coffee outside on the deck, made snores in the fire pit, and were SO sad to leave! I had a beautiful run through the hilly neighborhood roads too! 10/10 would come back!
