You may choose to spend time outdoors on the perfectly appointed covered deck with comfortable seating and dining while enjoying the fire in the gas fire table and gazing out at the wooded views, or cook up a great burger on the gas grill. Indoors is elegant, charming and modern with every comfort you can dream up. This delightful home boasts an extra large open floor plan upstairs, complete with dining area, island seating and a plush and comfortable living room with top of the line gas log fireplace. Extravagantly outfitted chefs kitchen featuring a 36" Bertazzoni range for any level of culinary skill. Down the hall you will find 2 queen guest rooms outfitted for your comfort with a shared hallway bath, and a beautiful King master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Downstairs you will find a very comfortable living room with a sofa bed should you need the additional space as well as a kitchenette and 3rd bathroom with a luxurious jetted tub. A two car garage tops off this extraordinary retreat. A place to truly relax after spending your days enjoying all the nature, shopping and dining that Highlands is so well known for.

Perfect Thanksgiving/Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed Thanksgiving week with our daughters driving in from Birmingham and Charlotte. Couldn’t have picked a better place. The house appears to have been recently remodeled and is updated. Of note the kitchen was well stocked which was obviously helpful given it was Thanksgiving. We would definitely rebook if the opportunity arises and recommend to anyone.

A true home away from home

Dolly Wood house is the top VRBO we have ever stayed in while in Highlands NC. This home is beautifully appointed in every way. Comfortable beds and linens, fully stocked kitchen, and cozy blankets to snuggle by the fire. The back deck is a perfect place to relax at the end of the day. There are wonderful surprise amenities in this home, perfect to keep you warm on colder days. The location makes it easy to get to the main street of Highlands and the roads to area hikes and other towns. This is home is a must stay!
