This place was fantastic to stay at. It is out in the middle of nowhere which is exactly what we wanted. The place was clean, warm, and inviting. Leah was a magnificent host. She came to introduce herself to us and was very attentive to our needs. Would 100% recommend and will stay again.
Cabin was just as it was pictured in the listing. Loved exploring the ranch and seeing wildlife.
One thing that could have made the stay better would be if the cabin had a dining table. It was ok to dine at the bar but a table would be preferred.
Great getaway from a busy life. Ranch is a beautiful escape full of animals and a great hostess that is a lot of fun. Cabin was well equipped and maintained.
We liked being close to the boat ramp. It was quite and we felt safe leaving the boats overnight. We enjoyed our stay, and look forward to our next visit.
Husband and I had a very relaxing time, enjoyed the good selection of DVD movies, very peaceful environment, we slept very comfortable, we definitely would like to comeback.
We (my wife, kids aged 12 and 9 and me) had the true pleasure of staying here for the sole purpose of stargazing in a quiet place out in the country, and we were very pleased with EVERYTHING! Leah (our host) was SUPER courteous and welcoming, and the peace that is found out there is hard to replicate. We stayed in the cabin although there are several other options on the property (it's a BIG property!). The cabin was clean, quiet spacious and yet cozy too, and made us wish we could stay longer.
Earlier that afternoon Leah was gracious enough to show us baby chicks, baby ducks, some tortoises and chickens. My kids were SO excited to see all that and don't get to have that experience in the city.
The stargazing was amazing, as we sat outside for two hours and saw the Milky Way, the Neowise Comet, the IS Space Station, and 5 shooting stars. It was impossible to count the stars you could see with the naked eye, and if you bring a good pair of binoculars or a small telescope you will be amazed.
We will definitely come back, and will talk some friends into joining us too!
We really enjoyed out stay. Our trip was just to drive around and see my old home town in Ballinger. Our stay in Paint Rock was wonderful. The kids loved being able to run around, hold the baby chicks, and see the giant turtle.
We had a great time and appreciated the hospitality.

Love it!
We loved staying at the ranch! The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The kids loved exploring the area, seeing the animals, and water ways. San Angelo is a quick drive from the ranch, making it easy to see the sights, catch a movie, roller skating, or mini golf with the fam. The entire stay was great. Awesome folks! Awesome ranch!
