Perfect for a couple getaway. private, secluded, surrounded by natureDevine food and the two resident cats are welcomingMy communication with Chris the host was excellent Even when it was raining it was nice to sit in the sheltered outside areaTotally recommend for anyone wanting to unwind or the opposite, as its location is ideal for walks and drivesI plan to stay again
We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderfully quirky haven. The bath at night with candles is a must do. Soaking amidst the plants is so relaxing before bed. We loved the visits from the two house cats Bacon and Purrgeot So lovely to have nice sourdough bread, fresh eggs and everything needed for a lovely breakfast. Recommend this place and would love to come back again thanks Chris for such a special little place
Great location, right near the bush and the water! Really quiet and the birds in the morning are amazing! The breakfast was really tasty and so worth it!
The host is awesome, very welcoming and a great source of local information. The accomodations are a little quirky, but the host description of the property is very accurate, so no surprises. The location is fantastic, with easy access to Otago peninsula attractions, and great tramping from the property.
Chris is an absolutely wonderful host, her place is amazing! It was perfect having a detached bedroom as our toddler can and will make a lot of noise. Fully stocked with milk and cereals, it was perfect for us! Thank you!
We had a fantastic stay. The house was cosy and beautifully decorated. Lots of extra touches like milk in the fridge and fresh plums in the fruit bowl… and the outside bath was perfect!
This part-house is set in a beautiful garden near the sea. Everything was clean, welcoming, functional and cutely styled. Mr Bacon the cat is delightful and welcome addition to our stay. There's so many things to do in the area we need to come back again.
Chris was very helpful in meeting our needs on arrival. It is a comfortable and cosy place to stay. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening listening to the birds. A good base for visiting the Otago Peninsula attractions including the albatross colony and Larnach Castle.
A wonderful spot to explore the beautiful Otago Peninsular from. Chris is a great host as are her two friendly cats Bacon and Purrgeot. Our room was immaculately clean, had everything we needed and oozed character and charm not to mention a fabulous outdoor bath. Would highly recommend. and charm.
It is a nice quaint place with a lovely setting. We were very close to the blue penguins and albatross centre. Amazing. The morning was great having coffee on the deck nestled in a treed area with plenty of birds chirping.
Chris is a good host. The general decor is very intriguing. She is a prolific gardener, so flowers are a key in her decorating. Some concerns about walking to the designated VRBO area and crossing from the bedroom, which is detached, across to the bathroom and other rooms at night or in inclement weather. With all that said, I would stay there again.

Peninsular Stay
The property had it's appeal, arty, cute and organic. Garden was wild and attractive.
Walk from car to entrance door a little unappealing. Aspect to sun was good. It was quiet and simple. A little cramped, bed was not so comfortable, and lack of basin in
kitchenette not ideal. Bath was nice, would benefit a better system of filling bath by installing a hose end that turned off fully.
Liked the location and reasonably close to Dunedin central. Overall it has attractive features for us, just a little too small. Host was friendly and discreet.
