700 meters to the south is Ago no Matsubara Beach where beach huts line the beach in the summer
The north side is one of the leading surf spots in the Chubu and Kinki regions and national competitions such as the All Japan Surfing Championships are held here
As a result not only local surfers but also many people from outside
