About this property
Beautifully Renovated Muskoka Cottage with Hot Tub on Pristine Skeleton Lake
Beautiful Bright 4 bdrm, 2 bath Cottage on Pristine Skeleton Lake
Here’s your opportunity to vacation at a little piece of paradise known as 'Muskoka's Best Kept Secret'. Highly sought after pristine spring fed Skeleton Lake offers a gorgeous hard-packed safe, shallow sandy beach waterfront entry (ideal for young and old) into the calm, clean, crystal-clear water. Exceptional Hardscape landscaping that amplifies the useable space to gather and entertain. The deck and upper patio with hot tub offer sun all day while the mid-level large patio with fire pit, seating and hammock provides shade all day long. Clean patios and granite steps take you all the way to the dock and sandy beach (shoes are optional but not required)
Venture Inside the cottage (perfect for large or small families), where modern living meets vintage Muskoka with this beautiful & bright newly renovated year round 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage. The brand new open concept kitchen and tastefully decorated dining/living room, with ample seating provides the opportunity for friends and family to gather together for meals or a cozy evening of games and entertainment in the living room. Enjoy the stunning lakeside views from the comfort of inside or while relaxing in the hot tub or on the large lakeside deck, perfect for Al Fresco dining. Savour the warm summer evenings when relaxing on the dock or while enjoying roasting marshmallows by the soothing fire. Enjoy a beverage and bask in the glow of the breathtaking sunsets that can entertain you endlessly.
Outside, to enjoy water activities, utilize the paddle boat, canoe, paddle boards, kayaks or just playing and swimming in the gorgeous lake. We call our beloved lake the 4 C's for the calm, clean and crystal-clear water. The water is so clear that you can swim with your eyes open under the water, or see clouds in the sky from beneath the water (see pictures!). If feeling competitive, enjoy some outdoor lawn games provided or play in the sand with the sand toys for the little ones.
If looking to bring your own motor boat, conveniently, there is a marina just 2 minutes down the road for launching.
Fun filled excursions are abundant all year round. Take advantage of the nearby provincial parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, cross country skiing, downhill skiing and snowmobiling on the lake and trails.
You won't regret investing your time in paradise!
ABOUT SKELETON LAKE
Known as 'Muskoka's Best Kept Secret', in the heart of Muskoka, Skeleton Lake offers sandy swimming coves, great fishing, water sports, hiking and warm summer sunsets.
Skeleton Lake is the 4th largest lake in the region. It has a circumference of about 25 miles and has been called the clearest lake in Canada. Unlike most of the area lakes, which are souvenirs of the glacial age, Skeleton is believed to have formed as a result of a meteorite impact. Being a spring-fed lake, it is very, very clear and on calm days one can easily see down to depths of 20 or more meters.
There is much to explore. A short distance around the lake is hiking trails, a waterfall, children's camp and shallow public beach with picnic tables. Fishing is great: summer or in winter
SURROUNDING AREA:
Out and about, Arrowhead and Algonquin Parks offer more nature to those who can't get enough. The town of Huntsville is itself a huge art gallery, with Group of Seven murals hung on more than 20 buildings in the area. Golfers will want to spend a day at Diamond in the Ruff, Deerhurst Highlands or Deerhurst Lakeside. Anglers might be interested in spending a day at Lake Vernon with a Hooked Young fishing tour. Check out the program at the Algonquin Theatre during your stay, although if it's something you want to see, it's best to buy your tickets well in advance. In winter, snowmobiling and cross country skiing are at your doorstep, and Hidden Valley Ski Club is just 25 km away.

About the host
Hosted by Jamie Almond

Born and raised on the shores of Georgian Bay, I discovered boating at a younger age and since have always enjoyed being on the water.
Why they chose this property
After a family member purchased a property on Skeleton Lake, we were introduced to this beautiful gem, it was an obvious choice for us to acquire a property here as well. It has all the beauty of Muskoka, a large lake, but also a quiet lake with crystal clear water.
What makes this property unique
Our property is situated on a municipally maintained road, has gentle entry into a hard packed sandy beach. Our cottage has been completely renovated and newly furnished.
