About the Awards
In its 11th year, the Bookabach Bach of the Year Awards celebrate the best baches in New Zealand. In another year where travel has been restricted and holidaying closer to home is a top priority, there is a holiday home or bach out there for any sized family or group of friends.
The medalists and finalists of the Bach of the Year in New Zealand was based on a combination of criteria including star ratings from traveller reviews, booking data from Bookabach from August 15, 2020 to August 15, 2021, relevance of the home catering to family needs and amenities for family and traveller reviews. Finalists were also asked to submit an entry on why they should be awarded the top honour.
