Skiable terrain
Boasting 280 hectares of skiable terrain and 462 metres of vertical drop, Coronet Peak Ski Area is an exciting ski area for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The resort is serviced by multiple high-speed lifts and an express quad chair, as well as T-bar and surface conveyor lifts. The mountain features runs for children, beginners and intermediates as well as steep, varied terrain for advanced and expert skiers and riders. You’ll find off-piste areas on the edges of the resort and a few chutes and moguls for more challenges.
Night skiing
As one of the only ski fields in New Zealand to offer night skiing, Coronet Peak Ski Area is a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders looking to get a ride in late in the evening. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights during the season, many of the resort’s runs are illuminated and open for hours after dark for skiing and snowboarding. You can book a Twilight Pass to ride until 9 pm and take in the stunning sunset on the mountain, or you can get a Night Ski Pass that includes après-ski activities.
