The room was beautiful and comfortable within a very interesting historic building. The area was very attractive and felt safe. Anne was a lovely welcoming host. We’d definitely like to return.
From check in on it was enjoyable. Nice period furnishings in charming, restored structure close to all. Was surprised how large our room was, always nice to discover it's even better than the website picture!
The quality and service of breakfast was excellent. The host was very welcoming and patient. Conviviality at breakfast was fun in the beautifully appointed dining room. Steps away from everything interesting. Very convenient. Merci beaucoup!
Very disappointing stay at this place. Starting with good points: great wifi, shower and bed. We booked a comfort room which was comfortable until 5.45am on Sunday morning when I was woken up by someone banging crockery around (may have been neighbours or the hotel prepping for breakfast). The worst was yet to come when at 5.50am people started yelling outside our room (our room turned out to be directly on the street level) and when I opened our door someone was setting up a market stall about 50cms from our door (!) and loudly talking to the chap setting up a stall across the road. It turned out it was market day and the market takes place directly outside the hotel. Some people get up really early so it won’t be a problem for them but the hotel needs to update it’s advert - this detail needs to be clearly included in the room description so people are fore-warned and can make a choice as to whether or not to book this room/hotel if they don’t want to be woken up at 5 in the morning on their holiday.
