This was a really unique stay in a renovated building! Loved the modern amenities and charming decor. We were able to bring our English bulldog and enjoy many of the comforts of home. We will definitely stay again!

This was a fabulous place to get away for the weekend to relax. It was well maintained, very well stocked with everything you need. Your home away from home! Simply beautiful in every regard. The original character of the building was kept with modern updates. I love when historic buildings are restored and the character is kept intact. Location is wonderful close to everything. Shopping, dining, hiking, wineries...whatever it is you love to do you are sure to find it here. Can't thank the owners enough for restoring this beautiful gem and sharing it with others!

Best place we stayed on our entire trip!

We booked The Mercantile on the Katy Trail as a last minute, on a whim stay during our family road trip. We couldn't believe how amazing the property was when we arrived. Every detail was thought of, and what an amazing place to stay! It was by far the best place we stayed during our multi-state road trip. Highly recommend to anyone!!!

The property was very well decorated and appointed with anything you would need. It was clean and had all sorts of toiletries that you might need, which was a nice bonus. I felt safe walking outside at night with my dog as the area was very quiet.

The Mercantile was a fantastic stay. Everything was five star. The Katie Trail made for excellent biking and walking. Next time I’m gonna rent an E bike.

This is an amazing stop for anyone riding the Katy (or anyone visiting Hermann). We found it a perfect stop at the end of the long day of riding. It was right off the trail and they made it easy (so we didn't have to go out that day). The communication was great; the place was lovely. We would absolutely stay here anytime I'm visiting this area.

This property was sooo well furnished. It had everything you could need. The design was fantastic! We love the boutique style Vrbo’s/hotels! It is a memorable experience. The hosts were so accommodating and responded so quickly with our questions! We really can’t wait to come back!

Rental and suite were very nice. They did a great job renovating the mercantile. Only downside was the area was pretty rundown. It was right on the katy trail so if you bike, it would be awesome. Price was a lot cheaper than in Hermann too.
