The owners of Coral Bay really get it - by which I mean they provide excellent service, with a great attitude. My other Panama lodge experiences felt like I was in a developing nation - Coral Bay felt like what you experience in higher end European facilities.

Sonia and Alfred are exceptional hosts I left feeling I was saying goodbye to my family very special ! The variety, quality of wine and cocktails are another level ! There was nothing we didn't like about the Bungalows! They were very clean, comfortable and the view from the deck was gorgeous. Our hosts, Alfred and Sonia, were so helpful and generous. They shared tips about the islands, and booked the water taxis, so we were never stranded or overcharged. Sonia is the "Queen of Breakfast". Jerry, the chef, was not only an excellent cook, but he was also very atuned to our tastes and requests. The rooms are fully stocked, and if we needed anything, it was supplied (we borrowed fins and umbrellas). If you get a chance to go here, do it!

We had an amazing stay at Coral Bay Bungalows. The setting is absolutely stunning – waking up over the water, with nothing but the sound of the sea and the jungle around you, feels like a dream. The bungalows are beautifully designed, very comfortable, and you can tell a lot of care went into every detail. What really sets this place apart is the hospitality. The team (and owners) are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure you have a great experience. From helping arrange boat transfers and activities to sharing local tips, we always felt very well taken care of. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and having easy access to the water for kayaking and paddleboarding right from the property was a huge plus. If you are looking for a peaceful, intimate, and special place to stay in Bocas del Toro, we can’t recommend Coral Bay Bungalows enough. We left already talking about when we might come back. ❤️

A piece of heaven on earth!

Our stay at Coral Bay was AMAZING! From the moment we arrived Alfred and Sonia the owners were very friendly and attentive. We were welcomed with welcome drinks and both were eager to answer any and all questions. Our room was simply impeccable. From the decorations to the small details to even the breakfast each morning that Sonia served was outstanding. Waking up to Ocean views all around was a once in a lifetime dream come true. Our trip was cut short due to unseen circumstances, however, while we were staying at coral Bay. It was heaven on earth. Alfred even helped my husband set up a two or four a private boat for myself and my husband for the day. This is the first time we’ve ever went to a resort and we’re the only couple there for a few days. We enjoyed every moment of talking with both of them. And definitely plan to come back one day when we can stay longer.
