This is a very practical apartment with everything you need to stay short-term or long-term (dishes, pots, toaster, stove, towels). The toilet handle was not working well but we informed the owners, then fixed it ourselves. The shower was blocked, so you had to stop, let the water drain, shower for 2 minutes, then stop again to let it drain. This was the only inconvenience in the apartment and we lived with it. It was great value for money and the location was excellent, 2 blocks from Porta Agata right in the historic centre of Palermo, and only 10 minutes' walk from the train station. We walked everywhere in Palermo and this apartment was a very good base. There is a grocery store 4 blocks away, the very busy Mercato Ballerò every day just 2 blocks away (fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh fish dishes and 3 Euro Hugo Spritzes!), a late-night bodega 2 blocks away and a fantastic bakery right under the apartment that had phenomenal strawberry cream tarts. This was a very comfortable apartment and we enjoyed staying there.

Leider gar nicht zu empfehlen. Die Fotos sind so aufgenommen, dass man die Schwächen der Unterkunft nicht sofort erkennt. Also, zoomen! Das Viertel ist ziemlich dreckig, abends extrem dunkel – wir haben sogar tote Ratten auf der Straße und tote Kakerlaken im Hof gesehen. Obwohl die Unterkunft auf den ersten Blick sauber wirkte, hatten wir eine Kakerlake im Badezimmer. Sehr enttäuschend. Unsere Empfehlung: Lieber in einer kleinen Stadt nahe Palermo übernachten.
