Everything about this place was amazing, only stayed one night but felt really comfortable and will definitely return, top highlights in the short time there were- comfortable bed, Netflix, a robe, lovely quaint tea/ coffee tray in room, top quality breakfast and superb location.
Just a fantastic place to stay in the countryside. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bed is comfortable. Excellent breakfast. The owner is very hospitable and gracious.
Beautiful house in a gorgeous setting - ideal location to visit many places around the area.
Leo and his daughter at
check-in and breakfast was friendly and the breakfast was so tasty. Would highly recommend and hope to return next year.
Beautiful old building, set in a picturesque village. Lots of gardens to enjoy. Quiet and tranquil if you only want to hear the birds singing. Breakfast was excellent and friendly host. Would most definitely stay again.
The location was peaceful & relaxing, our host was warm & welcoming, the room was spacious with good amenities & a rainfall shower - The Smart TV allowed us to watch our own programs on the streaming services.
Breakfast in the morning was freshly prepared with local ingredients & tasted amazing…
What a stunning house! Enormous room, very comfy bed. Beautiful view over garden and bonus swallow's nest in eaves. Lovely selection of teas in the room. Amazing breakfast. Lovely location in a perfect village, we did one of the walks listed in the kitchen and really enjoyed it.
The house is conveniently situated for visits to Oxford and the Cotswolds. The bedrooms were large and well appointed - tv with Netflix and cable,
large bathroom and shower.
Breakfast was excellent. There were also two common rooms for relaxing and a great book selection. Overall,
a great find.
Country house in quiet village location. Welcomed by host. Convenient for visiting Oxford and local area. Comfortable bedroom with sitting area. Quality amenities tea/coffee and drinking water provided. Good choice for breakfast, prepared to order. Separate lounge and videos available to watch if wished. Pub that serves evening meals a short stroll. Generally very clean, but a few large cobwebs on the ceiling. I would visit again.
The property is a lovely looking building with lots of character and quite eclectic inside.
I have to say that the owner Leo was a strange character who barely mumbled 3 sentences during our stay. He didn't ask how we slept, if everything was ok with our room etc, no conversation at all which felt very uncomfortable. However the breakfast he served was nice and well cooked.
What a fantastic getaway! I’m only sad I didn’t have time to stay for at least another night! I was greeted warmly and shown to my room. The room was spacious and had robes (always a treat for me). There’s a lovely view of the back garden from my room (#1) as well. Breakfast was plentiful! I had fresh blueberries and oatmeal to start and then salmon with scrambled eggs on toast! All of that with a strong cup of coffee was plenty for the long day ahead!
This is a great place to visit if you’re looking for lovely walks, the opportunity to stay in a beautiful home, and enjoy a bit of English countryside that’s about an hour outside of London.
Leo was there on our arrival to welcome us. showed us to our room, made a tray of coffee for us. The breakfast was outstanding, both in choice and quality.
The house and our room was delightful, full of character.
Would we go back, definitely .
What a lovely place to stay! Very comfortable four poster bed. Really well equipped tea and coffee facilities in the room. Loved also having plenty of space and a little seating area by the window in the bedroom. Very clean all round, with a hot and spacious shower.
Also really liked all the interesting antiques and art work around making it feel unique and in keeping with the manor house feel to the place. Like a well appointed Jane Austen home.
Really warm welcome by the owner and excellent breakfast with a very high standard of food served.
It felt very luxurious all round and we thought good value for money.
Just around the corner from a pub also serving excellent high quality food.
We'll definitely return!
We had a double room with shower facing the church on the 1st floor. Spacious with 4-poster king-sized bed. Very comfortable & quiet at night. Although it was full, parking on site was adequate. Enjoyed the SMART tv & able to log into our own Amazon prime account to watch a film - there are various DVDs available on site at free loan if wanted. Breakfast was great - good choice, well prepared & tasty. Our only "downer" (which is nothing to do with the B&B!) was a pretty poor evening meal at The Bell 200m walk away but maybe we were unlucky. Would happily stay again if passing that way.
