Clarion recently purchased the former Holiday Inn. Construction is in progress and will be very nice upon completion.
For now I would choose alternate hotel till renovations completed.
The hotel was closed unexpectedly due to fire about 2 weeks prior to my reservation and there was no notification to guests who booked. I showed up in the evening and had to scramble to find another place with accommodation for my family and pets!

Good stay
Great staff comfortable. However, looks more like an asylum; definitely needs a little TLC.
Very very clean and employees were really friendly. Our room was on first floor overlooking parking lot and some guests decided at 4am it would be a good time to chat and smoke right in front of our windows. Ugh - next time I will request an inner or second floor room.
Our first room was next to a dog that continually barked. We quickly asked for another room. That room was disgusting. Stains on sheets, food crumbs still on bed, pulled up mattress pad to look for bedbugs. Thankfully no bed bugs, but very dirty! The chair had stains all over it, so we could not use it. The ceiling tiles in front of bathroom were all stained and looked as though they were about ready to burst open with water. Floor and tub were still dirty! We will never stay here again....and probably not even another Clarion Hotel anywhere. We were very disappointed. Had we not been driving for 14 hours and already had paid for the room, we would have left immediately.
The place is convenient and allows pets. I love that it does not have carpet in the room. I stayed at this hotel last week and advised them the tub doesn’t drain We were in the same room in this trip and they Did Not address the drain problem.

Liked: Staff & service
Lobby was very nice but the room was very outdated.
I liked that it was dog friendly. The room was outdated and run down...maybe this was only in the dog friendly area. Had to call for all supplies when we got there. It may have been an oversight on housekeeping.
It wasn’t great at all. Basically there was a misunderstanding about a coffee maker and alarm clock and manager was very rude And accused me of stealing as well as my toilet was clogged with.no way of fixing it. All night. I was charged for an alarm clock that wasn’t in the room in the first place and for some febreze that was sprayed to make it smell nice but was accused of spitting on the chair
The smell was the worst. Obviously open to weed smokers in large numbers. While we all need a room why would you place these guests neareest the main entry. Otherwise sketchy area which is concerning with the few number of quests. On a good note the bed was great.
The tub would not drain the bathroom sink did not drain felt scared The building was falling apart did not look like pictures very disappointed kinda want a refund
The hotel is being renovated and all the rooms were getting new furnishings while i was there, and as a seasoned traveler, i can, without reservations , say that i was extremely surprised by how friendly and willing the staff were. Thiswas a 200+ room hotel, and the amount of attention to detail by the staff is impeccable. 5STARS Thoroughly enjoyed this properly.
My first room was a very long walk and my key didn't work. When I returned to the desk no one was there and I waiting for 45 minutes for someone to show up. I tried calling and nothing worked. The desk clerk was outside smoking the entire time. Not a good look.

Staff incoherent
There were 2 car's in the parking lot. I asked the clerk for a peaceful and quiet room in the back of hotel. She oblige however after an hour or so I hear screaming from a young child for over an hour. The entire hotel was close to empty but the clerk puts a family in the next room besides mine. I called the desk and advised and complained. She informed me she would take care of it. The screaming continued for a little while longer. I explained I needed my rest and had to go through such a problem. I do not fault the facility but the staff. How inconsiderate and incoherent she was.
