This was one of worst hotels I’ve been to. The room was dirty and needs lots of updates. The owner was unpleasant. Unfortunately there is nothing else in town to stay at.

The own we’re very nasty to use I went on line and book my room it was 147.68 and when we got there they charged us for kids 10 dollars a child and he told us if any kids stay and room with us he was goin to kick us out .the online rate was 65 doll a night but when we got there he changed my rate and charged me a different price I’ve stay in the best motel that it is never been treated like he did .roaches was crawling in the refrigerator and some one look like they mess rub all over the bathrooms wall. They never give us clean towels and the tv did wk he came and fix it the first night and it went out the next day he told us he couldn’t fix it again ..and when he came to our room he had his gun on his side ... I will never ever tell anyone to stay there and pool is black and very nasty very poor and pitiful there 😢😢😢😢

When we first arrived we was being charged more so we decided to book online then pay. I guess by us doing that the lady got mad and sent her husband to the window, which we wasn’t gonna do until they charged my aunt lower and tried to charge us more. So buy us doing that they started being very rude and nasty. So when I showed him my booking confirmation he asked how many I said two, so he looked and said it’s gonna be more for hour kid. So I asked you charge for kids to stay with parents, his reaction was that I should start reading fine print before I book. Then gonna say are you sure you only have one kid I said yes he then stated if he found out I had more then one kid he was gonna kick me out. Only if I didn’t have to say for my aunt funeral the following day I wouldn’t have stayed. So then I get to the room and the T.V wasn’t working I call for him to come fix it after being fix he stated if it go out again he wasn’t coming to fix it no more. Then they only had non smoking available so we told him we would smoke out side cause we don’t smoke in the house around our kid. But as he was fixing the Tv he mad a statement we couldn’t stand out side, so where was we gonna smoke. So the following day we need an iron I walked do the front office to get it. His first question to me was how many kids you said you have in your room and did I say I had a boy or girl so I looked at him and ask why. He gonna say if you are not happy here you can leave. CONTINUE ON ANOTHER comment

We stayed here on our way through to Mongomery. Front desk was kind and answered my questions about restaurants. Room was a bit dingy. Could use some upgrades. Little high priced for what you get.

Wonderful stay

I enjoyed my stay 2-night at American Inn. While I was at the meeting they came and put clean sheets on my bed and clean towels in my bathroom. When I have another meeting in Camden, I will be staying here again. The staff was very friendly and strived to meet every need I had. Great location!

It is really old and everything was dirty. We had to beg for extra towels. The water sink and the tub fills up with water when running it to shower or wash your hands.

I had heard some not so nice things about this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't very fancy, but definitely suited our needs. It was clean and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Furnishings very decrepit and outdated. Horrible pillows cracks i the plastic basin, crude spackling and caulking, and dozens of cigarette butts just outside the door. The smell permeated the room. These butts stayed there the whole time we did.

Office smells horrible! I was so afraid that the rooms would smell the same, but fortunately they did not. Basic motel room, pleased for the price I paid. Don't expect a 4 star motel at a 1 star price. Beds were comfortable, AC worked great, bathrooms were outdated but were completely fine. I was there for a hunting trip, so I wasn't worried about the cosmetics. As long as the beds were comfortable, had clean sheets and towels, good working AC, good TV channels, and good room service, then I was happy. And they delivered on all of that. Only cons was the smell of the office (I almost had to hold my breath), and had to pay up front before checkout.

My family chose this hotel over others in the area because of the beautiful pictures of the pool and facilities. We were looking forward to a weekend of swimming with our children and grandchildren, only to find a green slimy pool. This was false advertisement on the hotels part and we were very upset. When I mentioned it to the clerk, she just said they haven't had anyone to fix yet. If we could have still cancelled, we would have went to a hotel closer to the wedding we were in the area for.

Good for fishermen

Good place for fishermen with boats. Lots of places to charge your boat. Quiet good lunch place nearby—Miss Kitty’s. Room has refrigerator, large screen tv, and microwave.

Basic room for good price. Used it to sleep in during hunting trip, so was not expecting 5 star luxury. Bed was comfortable but certainly not a high dollar mattress. Has a TV in the room but no way of knowing what channels they have. Just a remote and the guide lists the channels, but the wide screen covers the channel number. Scroll away !
