40th birthday

Stayed with 5 friends to celebrate my birthday. The apartment was ok but not was I was expecting as different layout to what I saw on the website. Only a single duvet for the double sofa bed. There was bit of mould in the bathroom and kitchen cupboards were greasy

Good Location - Facility Issues

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the week I was there no rooms had functioning air conditioning due to a planned update of their facilities. If I had known that when I booked the room I would have stayed elsewhere rather than try to sleep in a hot uncomfortable room.

Buena ubicación y habitaciones

El departamento estaba muy bien tenido las dos habitaciones estaban separadas con un buen living entremedio, sin que existiera incomodidad por su cercanía. El barrio de Mayfair es muy central, elegante y tranquilo. El precio, como todo en Londres es caro.

はじめは、古く感じたが、イギリス大好きな主人は、昔小説で読んだ滞在型の小ぶりな品のいいホテルだ！と感激。私は、買物に便利で、夜きいた、マーケットのレストランエリアが良かった。 アートのセンスも良く、移動せず、3.4連泊すれば良かった、、とおもった。

très bien reçu, literie du canapé on sentait un peu les ressorts, très bon séjour dans cette hôtel, je recommande pour la proximité de Hyde Park, les différents sites se trouvent a environ 10 a 15 minutes a pied en marchant tranquillement. quartier très calme.

The room air conditioning was not working and we had a freezing condition in a room. Not fair to pay the full room charge without the air-con. However, other than this, very convenient and comfortable sty with them.

Absolutt å anbefale, litt slitte rom men med beliggenhet, servic, størrelse på rommet og nærheten til alt london har å tilby kommer vi gjerne tilbake hit når vi er mange i reisefølge. To bad, to sover rom, kjøkken, stue og tre stykk TV, altså noe for alle aldere.

Fint hotell med sentral beliggenhet. God service! Romslige rom og fine bad. Eneste negative var at varmen ikke fungerte under oppholdet vårt, så det var iskaldt inne på rommene. Måtte sove med jakker, sokker og gensere. Fikk dagen etter sendt opp en ovn, men den holdt ikke til å få varmet opp rommet tilstrekkelig. Harde senger. Bortsett fra dette anbefales hotellet, og vi kommer til å dra tilbake hit neste gang vi besøker London.

People were smoking in their suites. Rooms were noisy because of the evening construction and doors were banging on the door frames from other units (installing door closer is highly recommended). However, the location of the hotel was good and the staff were really friendly.

Korkeatasoinen huoneistohotelli lähes Lontoon ytimessä. 70 neliön huoneisto tarjosi riittävät tilat kahdelle isovanhemmalle ja kolmelle lapsenlapselle (9-14 v.) Ainoa puute oli viides vuode eli vuodesohva, joka oli liian lyhyt 180 cm pitkälle 14-vuotiaalle ja muutenkin epämukava. Neljä varsinaista parisänkyvuodetta olivat erinomaisia. Keittiö toimi erinomaisesti ja oli hyvin varusteltu paitsi terävä leikkuuveitsi uupui. Tv-kanavia oli runsaasti, muttei yhtään varsinaista urheilukanavaa. Wifi toimi kohtuullisesti. Ostimme ensimmäisenä aamuna suht. arvokkaan hotelliaamiaisen, joka ei aluksi vastannut lainkaan etukäteiskuvausta. Muutama hassu sämpylä ja vaatimaton leikkelle. Hämmästyksemme huomattuaan tarjoilija pani kuitenkin oma-aloitteisesti toimeksi ja loppua kohti tarjonta parani lähes tyydyttäväksi. Henkilöstön palvelukyky ja halu oli erinomaista ja ylitsevuotavan ystävällistä. Kaiken kaikkiaan myönteinen kokemus ja hinta/laatusuhdekin sijainti huomioonottaen kohdallaan.

Overall a good choice for short breaks

Family group of 5 for an overnight stay in London as a birthday weekend. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which had lounge, small kitchen, and two large bedrooms with a large sofa bed in the lounge (so sleeps 6). The lounge was quite small, but the bedrooms, hall and bathrooms were large. One bedroom was ensuite. The outside of the building is unimpressive and showing its age a little, inside is better. Optional continental breakfast is expensive at £15... But why eat in? Wifi is free for 4 devices. The staff are pleasant.The rooms have tea/coffee making which they will restock for you, and the kitchen had a washer dryer too for longer stays, a microwave and hobs (no oven). The rooms are traditional/contemporary (not modern not old), clean and cozy but are showing wear and tear, mainly on floors and wooden surfaces in bathrooms etc... Varnish peeling. It didn't put us off much. There are better for more, but not many sleep 6. Parking: The apartment block is inside the congestion zone!.. Park at Qparks parking in Park Lane this is outside the congestion zone and about £32 for 24 hours from time of entry. Tip: For a breakfast treat Goto the Wolsley restaurant on Piccadily 2 doors up from the Ritz... It is like going back in time and is impressive. Many stars eat at Wolsleys because not many tourists know about it. Prices are from about £14 Overall for short stays this apartment is good, but if you want to impress someone then there are better for more money.

hotel vraiment trés bien situé

accueil parfait pour une famille de 5 personnes. chambre spacieuse et lit très confortable. nous avons pu pleinement profiter de notre séjour dans un cadre propre et calme. serviette de toilettes changé tous les jours et produits renouvelés dans les salles de bains. cuisine équipée parfaitement fonctionnelle pour faire des petits repas le soir après les visites.

An oasis of calm - fabulous location.

We stayed close to our business meeting and chose well. Very pleasant check in staff. Room excellent size, kitchen superb and all you need for preparing meals if required. Bed comfortable. Very quiet location. Excellent for strolling. Safe area. Very clean. Would definately stay again and would be perfect for a week long stay. Washer/dryer; fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and all the cooking utensils required for meal preparation. Definately recommended. Suggest two easy chairs instead of the one but minor issue.

Great hotel for families in nice location.

Hotel check-in, staff, location and common areas were all top notch. Room had a great layout (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) and easily accommodated family of five. Downside was room needed freshening; worn soiled carpet, stains on sofa, cabinet door in kitchen broken and bathroom doors and fixtures showing substantial wear. Would come back but would inquire about updated room.

Ascott Mayfair disappointing

Great location! Lobby nice and modern with a quaint outdoor seating area. The issue we had was with the room which badly needs to be updated - carpets old and worn looking. The curtain in the bedroom was dirty with black marks on it. Air conditioning in bedroom did not work properly as it did in the living area. The vents were situated under the curtains so I had to find books to prop up against the curtains so that the air would circulate within the room. If you didn't, the air was blowing up at the curtains causing them to blow outwards. Couldn't find any glasses or cutlery in the kitchen! Called housekeeping the next day, guy shows up and proceeds to go through the kitchen not finding any so he tells me that sometimes it's kept in the desk/drawer in living area!! Why? Makes no sense. He looked there and still no cutlery or glasses. He then proceeds to walk to the cabinet that the TV sits on and voila there is everything. That is the strangest place to put these things. I would never think to open those cupboards. There were 4 of us, yet only 2 sets of towels were available. As for trying to use the blowdryer, you couldn't in the bathroom and we were stumped as to where the outlet was. Finally, by the bedroom door, lower on the wall almost floor level was an outlet. On a whim, I plugged in the blowdryer and it worked. Again, who would have thought that and then, you didn't have a mirror to do your hair because the cord wasn't long enough!! For the money, was disappointed.
