We traveled around to different places during our trip to Santorini and this accommodation — including the service — exceeded our expectations. Such a beautiful place to stay and truly a luxury apartment with everything you could need. I highly recommend it and we would gladly come back again.

Possibly my favorite stay of my Europe trip due to its beauty, value and views. The host is super accommodating, allowed us to leave our luggage with her even after check out so we didnt have to lug them around all day before our flight out. We took a 70$, 25 minute, 4-wheeler to the main tourist spots of oia and fira and made a day out of exploring this route but Pyrgos is seriously underrated and i recommend staying there for similar vibes to the other cities, with less crowds and really amazing food.

Excellent location surrounded by blue dome churches amongst the picturesque winding streets of Pyrgos. Roomy villa with excellent amenities and views that’s are breathtaking. We adored this villa and will stay here again.

Incredible hotel!

The views at the Kastro Mansion are unbelievable! Absolutely stunning. The town of Pyrgos has so much to explore. The staff are warm and very accommodating.

Spacious and great location

Great accommodation and in an excellent location. Very comfortable and spacious. The only negative was it advertised a small private balcony, however there was not one.

Anna Maria is the best-she arranged everything for us; from the late night taxi transfer and check-in, rental car service, information about the island and all the things you can do, see, were to eat... It has been the best time we hade in Greece ever.

This is the best hotel room I have ever stayed in. First of all, our hotel guide Vivian was amazing. She organised everything and anything we needed very quickly. In addition we were able to keep the room nice and cool in our cave room with the air conditioning and had plenty of space for everything, form a nice spacious bedroom, to kitchen, living room, bathroom and vanity area. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a quieter luxury place outside of Fira and Oia,

Stayed 3 nights in the deluxe 2 bedroom suite and felt like we were on top of the world! This piece of paradise has spectacular views and incredible hospitality. It was spacious, extremely quiet, comfortable and clean with great air conditioning. The private hot tub was fantastic! And breakfast at Penelope’s such a special treat. Vivian took excellent care of us and was very attentive from start to finish for everything we could ask. We experienced the best of Santorini at Kastro Mansion.

I love Kastro Mansion!

I love Kastro Mansion! The service is wonderful and the location is optimal. Its located in the town of Prygos. We stayed here in 2017 and loved our experience. We knew we would love our stay again and we did. The staff was very helpful in providing detailed information about the island and things to do. They were just a text away. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. The view from the rooms is also wonderful. It's for sure our go to place to stay at when we are in Santorini.

LOVED IT

This place was perfect! We stayed in the Zeus Suite and everything we needed was there! Private hot tub on the balcony and the kitchen came with essentials (cups, plates, water heater, mini fridge + water, tea packets). It was also near a few restaurants so walking wasn't difficult. Was also able to book taxi to airport transfers through the hotel so that made it even easier on us. My boyfriend and I loved it so much we'll most likely book here again for future trips to Santorini.

Perfect

No way you will find a better deal on the whole island. The town is perfect, our host was energetic and gave us the best tips for restaurants and activities. They met up with a donkey in the town square and carried our bags up the winding stairs. We spent our first two nights at another hotel on the island that was 3 times the cost but wasn't as good as this place.

Beautiful place, helpful hosts!

They upgraded us to the Atlantis room and it was AMAZING! The view of the caldera from the balcony was incredibly breathtaking. There was complimentary wine and water in the room and everything was very clean and comfy. Orestis was so, so friendly and helpful and Anna-Marie was available to arrange transportation from the ferry and to the airport. Just so you know, it is up a fair amount of stairs so if you have mobility issues it may not be the place for you, but if you're able bodied it's worth it!

Exceeded my wildest dreams!

Pygros is a lovely quaint village above the harbor. The hotel arranged for our transportation from the harbor. The lovely apartment is located on the cliffs affording an awesome view. It was airy, bright, clean and far exceeded expectations. Restaurants, lovely churches and shopping are within blocks. Public transportation was also within a few blocks allowing travel all over the island. I highly recommend the Kastro Mansion.

The best place you will ever stay at!

I had the most amazing stay at Kastro Mansion Santorini. Anna Maria was the best host and gave us the most amazing recommendations on where to go and where to eat. The town Pyrgos where the property is located is in a perfect spot. It is away from the tourist area so you'll be able to soak up more local culture and food. We stayed in the Zeus House, with the spa bath built into the balcony and an astonishing sunset every night. You will not be disappointed. I probably wouldn't recommend you going to the tourist area for the sunset, it's all right in the privacy of your balcony. She also provided a free bottle of local wine which was top quality and delicious! Thank you so much Anna Maria for the extremely warm hospitality and stay. If we return to Santorini, we will definitely choose to stay here again.

Calypso apartment - very charming!

We stayed at the 2 bedroom Calypso apartment. It's a very charming cave house unit located in the old part of Pyrgos. No access by car but they get a donkey to carry your luggage up and down. Parking is possible anywhere in the town for free. It's only a 5 minute walk up the hill. The apartment was very comfortable, wi-fi and AC worked fine. If anything then the kitchenette was very tiny with just 2 electric burners and a mini fridge. The town of Pyrgos is a much needed break from the busier towns of Santorini. Small and peaceful yet worth a visit for its authenticity and a much lesser degree of commercialization.

Incredible!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Atlantis Suite during our trip to Santorini in June. We could not have had a better experience. The suite was beautiful and Pyrgos was so charming. This was perfect for our romantic vacation, but the suite could also accommodate a larger family. There were wonderful views of the island, and the private hot tub on the patio was the cherry on top. We particarly enjoyed eating dinner at Rosemary, which had incredible food/sunset views and was just a few steps from our suite. The service we received from Kastro Mansion was top notch. When we accidentally left a valuable item in the safe, the staff was more than happy to mail it to us in the U.S. and stayed in direct communication with us until it arrived. We really can't thank them enough for our wonderful stay in Santorini and their hospitality.

My stay at Kastro Mansion in Pyrgos was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Our host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They were especially helpful in arranging taxis for us and providing great suggestions for car rentals, making our travel around the island seamless. Tony, the bellboy, was friendly and attentive, while Irene gave us a wonderful tour of the mansion. Her recommendations for local attractions and dining were spot on and really enhanced our experience on the island. The mansion itself is beautifully designed, blending traditional architecture with modern comforts. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and offered breathtaking views of the caldera. The location in Pyrgos is ideal, allowing easy access to Oia and other parts of Santorini while providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend Kastro Mansion to anyone visiting Santorini. It’s the perfect combination of comfort, beauty, and exceptional hospitality. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Absolutely stunning suite and great service!

One of the most beautiful hotels/apartments we've ever stayed it. Done in local architectural style so had a lot of character. Rooms were cool and clean even in the heat of the day. Outdoor personal hot tub overlooked the whole area - you'll find yourself in there morning and night!! On arrival Anna-Maria met us for an orientation to the area which was necessary and helpful given that there is no formal reception area. The walk up would be strenuous if you are much older or less mobile, but moving slowing you'll get there. Donkeys took the luggage up which was helpful. This is standard of the area. Anna-Maria gave us a thorough run through of all the sites, restaurants, etc. and helped us book our car (you really have to hire a car - easiest way to get around), she also booked our beach chairs, dinners, airport transfers and our evening dinner sailing cruise. Would have been hard to do this all without her - she's definitely an asset and returns text messages if you're stuck with a question while in town or having a hard time with your aircon. The suite had a kitchen to make breakfast and beautiful patio to each or lounge (or hang your wet bathing suit). The windows all have bars on them which actually add to the charm of the place while also making it safe to leave your windows open all day even when tour groups walk past etc. All in all - a completely, totally, beautiful stay in a quiet area that is close enough to the main restaurants etc. to drive in 20 mins. We loved it!
