This was a charming little place very close to the river, restaurants and shopping and just a short walk to the subway. Check-in was easy, staff was nice and the rooms were well-designed, cozy and clean. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely return.

Our family of 5 loved the Gozan Hotel! We were on the 6th floor and our room was so spacious and with all the traditional touches. The beds were comfy and the kitchen are had all the amenities needed for our amazing stay for 1 week. We cannot express how very pleasant the manger and staff were. They were all so kind and made our stay wonderful in Kyoto! Highly recommend for families and the location was perfect with a walk to Gion, shopping, and restaurants. We can’t wait to come back to Kyoto and will stay at Gozan Hotel again!

One of the better places you're likely to stay in. Room was beautifully designed with great facilities. Very friendly staff. Came to really like the neighbourhood - near some classic temple sites and and much less busy than the better known Gion.
