Home away from home

We booked a 10 night stay and were not disappointed. The location is excellent, with Woolworth supermarket a stone's throw away, 10min walk to the Water Front and its restaurants, Botanical gardens, Central train station, Queen's mall. If you're a 'walker' then you may cross to the Cultural Centre on the Southern part of town in 25min or so. The accommodation is pretty much self sufficient, amenities, clean and tidy, good selection of TV channels, as well as a gym and a pool that we certainly made good use of. The place was also very quite. We never had issues with noise at night either from other tenants or from the street. I certainly recommend the place and will be staying there when coming back to Brisbane next year.

I love this place when I’m travelling. Stay for a week-ish at a time and it has everything you need to feel at home. Full kitchen, laundry, lots of space and the supermarket is downstairs

We found the apartment to be comfortable and good value,reception staff very friendly and helpful.Situation was ideal,five minutes walk to a supermarket,ten minutes walk to the Brisbane river.and 15 minutes to the main shopping precinct.I especially liked the swimming pool ,under cover but open air,would definitely stay there again.

Great place to say.

Really could not fault Republic apartments. Unfortunately nearby construction work was a distraction early on in our stay but by the end we were conditioned to the noise. Central to main shops, great location by Spring Hill grocery shop, wine, chemist and bakery outlet. Easy to navigate with rental car.

Great Location to CBD and China town

We were staying for a week long netball tournament. The location was so convenient to the central railway station/bus station. No need to hire a car as we purchased a go card which gave you at least 30%off all public transport travel: bus/train and city cat across the Brisbane river. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment for my husband and I and our 2 friends who we were sharing with. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. 2 balconys extended our living accommodation. We felt very safe with the security system in place and the free parking for our friends who had driven there was an added bonus. We did request a parking space on booking the apartment. We were able to leave our luggage there on our departure day and collected later during the afternoon enroute to the airport. Highly recommend the Airtrain from Brisbane Airport. Only a 5 -10 minute walk with suitcases from the central railway station. Only thing I would recommend for the apartment we were in would be an extra comfy chair/armchair even though there was comfortable relaxing seating for 4 people come the evening it would have been nice to have had the extra relaxation space. I would most definitely recommend the Republic Apartments and would certainly stay there again. Thank you for the trouble free stay.

This place was one of the dirtiest we ever stayed at of all our travel. I wish I could post some pictures to show. We stayed here for two nights. The pictures posted on the Expedia is not the same conditions as the place. The unit we stayed at was very dated, looked rundown, amenities old and very dirty. I can still feel the dirt from that place.You know when you walk in in a place and you can feel the dirt sticking to you- yup that was the feeling. The carpets were so dirty that it looked like it was never cleaned for ages. We made sure we never took off our shoes and never barefoot.The couch/sofa was so disgusting dirty that my husband and I did not sit on it. The bed felt and looked dirty too. We were so paranoid that the bed has bed bugs. We had to buy a disinfectant spray and sprayed the bed before we laid on it and wipes to disinfect the seats/ table. I will not recommend in staying at this place or maybe we were the unlucky ones who stayed at the dirty unit. I was very surprised because the reviews at this place were so high hence I picked the place. On the positive side, this place has a supermarket next door for all the necessities you need is close to shops, restaurants, the wharf and other attractions.

This apartment is next to supermarket, short walk to CBD and Central station. Facility is excellent. Swimming pool, spa, gym in 5th floor, guest car park is there. Sofa and main bed were uncomfortable. Otherwise we had a good stay.
