Comfortable stay

The room was large & cleaned everyday. Staff was friendly & helped get the bags to the room. On checkin there was only 1 towel & 1 water in the room but after a phone call housekeeping quickly brought the 2nd. Tishan is an excellent front desk rep. Super friendly, thorough & helpful. My booking said free breakfast which they don't do anymore but he honored it & put a note in our reservation so it wouldn't be an issue at checkout, and it wasn't. There was a light burned out in the closet/dressing area & it was fixed without ne even mentioning it. Pool towels are exchanged daily in the room or out at the pool. The only issue with the room was the standup shower had no hot water but it didn't matter bc there was also a tub with a shower. There's great water pressure in the bathroom. The big issue is the staff in the Veranda restaurant at breakfast; they're very passive aggressive so they can be nasty one minute but super friendly the next. It's annoying bc you don't know how you'll be treated day to day or even minutes to minute during breakfast. It's weird. You don't get that from any other department in the hotel. We'r didn't like the menu at fisherman's wharf restaurant so we didn't try it. Serendipity restaurant next door is very good. Nice staff & delicious food. Hotel parking is on the street but there's always somewhere to park. The gym seems to be the local gym. It appeared to have nice equipment but it's always full of locals. Checkout was fast, friendly & efficient.

Nice boutique hotel! Apparently it caters to business people who are off to meetings during the day cause we had the amazing pool all to ourselves both days. They also do not play any music by the pool which we find desirable, so definitely not for partiers. No beach or even a beach nearby so pool only. Pool bar is not always open so be prepared to make cocktails or cold drinks in your room. Beautiful views of the harbor and cruise ships. One perfectly adequate breakfast lunch restaurant on site and for dinner there's another restaurant down by the bay, Fisherman's Wharf, which is also part of the hotel. Very good and you get a true Caribbean feel and flavor while dining or enjoying a cocktail. Serindipity is another restaurant just a block away that was highly recommended but we didn't get the chance to try. Hotel is close to downtown Basseterre so not the best part of the island and again not a beach hotel but very quiet and possibly a good home base for catching snorkeling or scuba trips as harbor is close by. Room was nice and beds comfy. Small fitness center also on site. If you're looking to stay put and don't wish to socialize much but rather rest up, read, sun and lounge by the pool and don't wish to venture far for meals OTI just might fit the bill.

Liked - clean, proximity to Serendipity which was amazing. Disliked - too remote from shopping and most dining. Nearby homes protected by razor wire and barbed wire. Shuttle only for the airport and beach.

This was a beautiful place almost like Shangi-La! Since I was stranded on St Kitts (Mom was put in hospital from a cruise ship) the staff and Teshan Liburd especially, did everything to make me feel safe and at home. Teshan went out of his way for me and turned a horrible experience into a lovely picture postcard memory. If you are just visiting for the day from a cruise ship, they will let you use the property's facility for a mere $5-$10 per person and the cab ride from the ship will only cost about $15-$20. I highly recommend this hotel!!!!

We stayed two nights at Ocean Terrace and enjoyed it very much. Had dinner the first night at Fisherman’s wharf which has good seafood. Our room was clean and had great view with a balcony. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, however being built into a hillside there are lots of steps. Short walk into downtown makes it convenient to shopping and ferry to Nevis and close to airport. No beach...it says they offer a shuttle but we didn’t try that. Food and drinks were good and a good value. Exceeded expectations

Wonderful Place of Relaxation and Beauty!

I was with 2 friends staying for 1 night before and 1 night after a Women's Prayer Conference in Nevis. We were very happy here. Delightful location, beautiful views of the harbor and the cruise ships, great restaurant (The Verandah) and very kind people working here. We also enjoyed going to Palms Court (right around the corner) and enjoying a couple very good lunches there amidst the beautiful gardens.

good hotel 10 min. from town centre

The hotel is well situated within walking distance of Basseterre town centre (10 mins). The ocean facing rooms are facing the harbor and the big cruise ships. The hotel itself, as often is the case, is a little in need of repair here and there. The swimming pool is extremely charming. All in all the hotel is good value for money.

The views are amazing. The staff , the cleanliness of the room and facility was maintained daily. The food was delicious. I complained about the shampoo and hand soap dispensers not working but my complaint was never addressed. There were many steps to climb and after eight days, it became a challenge. However this was a great vacation and we enjoyed OTI and St.kitts.

vorweg will ich mal sagen, dass das Hotel nicht für gehbehinderte Personen geeignet ist - Stufen über Stufen. Das Hotel sauber, das Personal freundlich, und die Lage sehr gut. Man kann zur Public Fähre und "downtown" in ca 7min zu Fuss gehen. Es ist wohl eines der besten Hotels in Basseterre. Speisemöglichkeiten sehr begrenzt und extrem überteuert. Ich würde mich wieder dort einquartieren (obwohl ich sicher nicht mehr nach Basseterre kommen werde) und kann es in diesem Sinne nur empfehlen.
