Weekend stay

Lovely location for a relaxing stay, overlooking lovely gardens and estuary, shame about the slight traffic noise from nearby bridge. Room was clean and pleasant with a nice view, staff very welcoming and friendly, cup of tea on arrival. Beautiful views from lounge, main problem was they do not do evening meals as stated on your website, since new ownership two years ago, but would definitely stay there again.

A gem near Bideford

We'd been looking forward to our stay ever since we booked it and were eagerly counting off the days, hours and minutes. It lived up to our expectations and then some - a perfect location for a nice quiet break away. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent.

Absolute perfection

Fabulous hotel. Amazing, private location, delicious breakfast, family-owned and super friendly. Absolutely perfect. I normally have a rule of not visiting the same place twice but this is one hotel I will break that rule for.

Great Hotel, nice owners & a lovely location

Small hotel with bags of history, which has largely been beautifully refurbished. Always work in progress in guess. Lovely owners did make us feel welcome, and service always with a smile! Stunning location, only let down a little by the distance noise from the road bridge over the river into Bideford.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful area with a very warm welcome. Decor is a little on the... chintzy side, but it has it's appeal :) Wifi coverage wasn't great, but that's about the only bad thing I could say about the place - would love to go back!

Lovely hotel but no longer has a restaurant.

Lovely hotel and owners but beware, there is now no restaurant although the breakfasts are excellent. This is not a great issue but worth knowing about about before you go. Local restaurants are abundant and the two we went to in Apple fore were excellent and sensibly priced.
