The rooms were outstanding! There were 2 complete bathrooms, kitchen, livingroom, and screened in porch. We had our 2 dogs with us, and the grassy area across the street provided a place for them to go. We walked downtown. The location was great, and everything was very clean! We will stay there again!

The main reason I did not give this a 5 star review is because the room had a strong musty smell that was over powering. We went to one of the shops in town and purchase a nice scented candle that helped. The location was the best feature as we walked throughout the town. The screened deck over the water was wonderful. We watched the sunrise and in the evening saw Manatees swimming in the river. The hotel is only a 10 min drive to St. George Island.

The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was clean. Place was spacious. Living room furniture was very uncomfortable and the chairs and table on the balcony were not clean. There was a lot of pet hair about the space. Knives in the holder were dirty. I stayed here before and it seemed much cleaner and comfortable. Hotel lobby guys were very nice and helpful. Otherwise it was quiet and relaxing and an easy walk to the Biscuit Factory.

Outside of the silly requirement that guests pick up their Keurig coffee pods at check-in, instead of housekeeping putting them inside the rooms, everything was excellent.

The Water Street Hotel and Marina is a lovely place to stay. Very spacious rooms with full kitchen and a lovely balcony facing the river. While we were there, it was very quiet and peaceful. The pool area is also comfortable, clean and quiet. This was more like a condo than a hotel. I especially loved the lighted mirrors in the bathrooms. That was a nice touch. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops and don’t forget to get your biscuit from the Biscuit Factory in the mornings. Just two blocks down the street. We will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Trip

I’ll never stay anywhere else when I’m Apalachicola. For a couple with different sleep habits it’s worth the little extra money to have a bedroom separate from the living area, a kitchen and such a relaxing screened patio on the river to relax at while waiting for them to wake up!

I was somewhat disappointed after checking in on the first floor. The room looked as if it had had water damage in numerous areas, especially the floor in the living room as all the varnish was gone in that area. The master bathroom had rust in the corner of the tub and the ceiling looked as if there was water damage. It finally came to me that this hotel had most likely had water damage during Hurricane Michael. Most of the damage looks as if it had been repaired with the exception of the things I mentioned. Our accommodations were large and clean. If we stay there again I would want a room on an upper floor

The room was relatively clean but VERY OUTDATED. Dish washer was dirty, lack of utensils, no instructions on how to operate TV in main room, concern with cats lingering around the property. Wish we had a different room.

Loved the area, love the room and where it was and just having what we needed. However, ants everywhere, which is something that can be remedied. We will of course go back. It’s perfect for walking and relaxing in the area. Loved it .

The property is very nice. The only thing was I was charged more for my room after I had checked out. No one said anything to me they just changed all of the charges and inflated the price of the stay after I had left. I felt this was unfair.

This is a great property to walk downtown and shop around. With some close great restaurants to visit for dinner and lunch. We love this town and how small it is and less crowded. Would have liked the pool to be heated since it was too cold to get in during this time of year. The kitchen is nice but did not have everything needed to cook meals it is more for reheating food or just having donuts or coffee. The front office staff was great and answered all my questions. I would definitely staff here again

Stayed for a week on business. The hotel was comfortable, great location, and had all the things we needed for a long stay - stocked kitchen, laundry, etc. Staff were friendly and the view from the balcony was so lovely to wake up to each morning.
