Great location. Unfortunately, the place is in need of refurbishment. The electricity was unstable, the furniture was worn and the cleaning wasn’t great. Not value for money when compared to places we stayed in Munich and Nuremberg the same week.

LOVED my apartment and the service!

Stayed at numa Belfort for 2 weeks. My 50m2 apartment was just perfect - warm, nice furniture, excellent bed, great amenities in both kitchen and bathroom and a super responsive and service-minded team! I will be back as soon as I can.

The area seemed quite, safe, and accessible to restaurants, but the number one criteria I have for an overnight stay is cleanliness. Although the unit appeared surface clean, the bed sheets hadn't been changed and they were clearly dirty.

The location was great. The apartment itself was in ok conditions. Several power points didn't seem to work and the fan was extremely loud, but luckily it wasn't too hot while we were there. The walls were thin, so lots of noise and the curtains let in a lot of light, which made it difficult to sleep. When you book through a booking site, they don't send you the check in details in advance, so you are stuck standing in the street checking yourself in, scanning passports and everything. Luckily it wasn't cold or raining, but still a frustrating process

It was mentioned we add a kitchenette but honestly the pan was so small and with no fan (with a mention that if the fire alarm goes off the firemen cost 2,500 euros) that we barely used it. No broom like with other hotels we visited. No communication about check in neither from Expedia or Numa which delayed our arrival. It wasn’t clear when I booked that there were no reception and using an app is not ideal.

Bad start, great stay...

Numa had the wrong mobile number for me so its text with the check-in code was returned undelivered. However they didn't try our email or to contact us via Hotels.com even though we had paid in full in advance. So it took 1.5hrs to get into our room. However, their rep at the hotel was amazing - very calm, patient and considerate and could not have done more for us. Once we had access, our room was really lovely, clean, airy and well-furnished. The bed & bedding were very comfortable. We would definitely use them again. The rest of the stay was excellent!

I was not happy and left the property after arriving. I was not aware when I initially booked that the property is over an abandoned restaurant, there are no staff there, and check in is from three pm. When I realised that I contacted the staff by email, and although I did get a prompt response and was able to check in a bit earlier, I did not feel at all comfortable in the eerily quiet surroundings and left immediately.

Nice but some flaws

the apartment was in a great, quiet neighborhood. Coffee was provided. The dining table was against the couch, so you had to move it to sit on the couch, but there was no other place for it. The lighted mirror in the bathroom was strapped on by duck tape and kept falling. No microwave & a note to open doors to cook, hard to do at 50 degrees. If you set off the smoke detector, a fine of 2,500 Euros would be yours to pay. The whole point of getting an apt was to be able to cook for ourselves.

Numa app was buggy and wouldn't load. Paid for breakfast but nothing on the app mentioned how to obtain breakfast. Wifi was spotty, tv remote didnt work and wouldn't connect with phone. Lights flickered when coming on like it was struggling for power. Bathroom sink faucet looked like it was about to come off. No ac and unit was outdated. No microwave or usb ports. Wouldn't recommend.

Heruntergekommene Zimmer, niemand vor Ort, online

Leider war das Zimmer in keinem guten Zustand: der Boden und das Bad waren stark renovierungsbedürftig, das Bett viel zu klein und es gab nur eine Steckdose. Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht und auch die Deckenlichter waren defekt. Aber am schlimmsten ist die Kommunikation: Es gibt nur eine Telefon-Nummer, keine einzige Person im ganzen Hotel. Die Nummer hat nur Computerstimmen und kann nicht weiterhelfen, der Online-Chat funktioniert nicht. So auch der Checkin: Wir haben über eine Stunde gebraucht, weil die App nicht geht und waren fast verzweifelt. Absoluter Horror und nicht zu empfehlen - v.a. für diesen Preis!!

Die Unterkunft war toll, der digitale Check In war leider katastrophal. Auch wenn bei der Hotline und im digitalen Chat alle nett waren, hat es fast 24h gedauert, bis wir unsere PIN hatten, es gab keine Rezeption vor Ort und am Ende war unsere Unterkunft doppelt belegt. Wie das passieren kann, wo doch alles DIGITAL ist und wir ja schon am Vortag den Check In machen mussten, ist mir ein Rätsel. Unser erster Urlaubstag war komplett ruiniert, weil wir trotz Check In am Vortag von 11:00-15:00h mit nix anderem beschäftigt waren, als Hotline-Anrufe und digitaler Chat, um dann eine schon belegte Unterkunft zu öffnen. Und das alles mit zwei Kindern im Schlepptau. Wir machen das NIE WIEDER. Es muss vor Ort einen echten Ansprechpartner geben und nicht nur PINs oder Codes.

Mycket oväsen

Rummet var på marknivå och mycket litet. Precis utanför dörr och fönster var det en större guldfiskdamm med två stora fontäner. Rummet låg precis mot dammen med en uteplats mot dammen som även var entrén till en av hotellets ingångar till andra rum/lägenheter. Varje morgon vaknade vi mycket tidigt av att små barn lekte vid dammen med guldfiskarna. Detta var mycket störande då vi hade förväntat oss att få sova ut på morgnarna. Ljuden började från strax före 7 på morgonen. På grund av alla guldfiskar satt barnfamiljer tidigt på morgonen med sina barn vid vår dörr och vårt fönster och förde mycket ljud. Då det var så många framför vår dörr/fönster kunde vi inte dra undan gardinerna, då alla såg rakt in på vårt rum och in i badrummet.

Belfort Hotel offers tastefully and comfortably furnished apartments and small cosy rooms. Without a reception desk, the necessary services such as hotel access and key release via codes work. The location at the corner of Prenzlauer Allee is perfect. Shops, cafés, wine shop or restaurants within walking distance. A high-class feel-good hotel that also maintains a certain anonymity. Great value for price!
