It was very pretty! I loved the classic decor and it was very clean. The parking was a bit inconvenient but it's to be expected in that location right in the middle of town. It was nice that they offered breakfast and it was pet friendly. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Wonderful stay. Unique inn with helpful staff. Walking distance to downtown and university. Rented bikes and rode along the river. Unfortunately, the downtown university area is in the middle of renovation and many restaurants were closed.

It’s a great place, close to campus and each room is themed to a classical musician. Family owned. It was here 25 years ago when I was a student at U of O, always wanted to come inside. I’m so glad we did!

Perfect experience!

Super comfortable bed, room beautifully appointed. Large bath in Tchaikovsky amazing. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy but they have great security. Building is older, bring ear plugs if you are sensitive.

Great B&B in Eugene

Great B&B, nice to get away from the hotel chains for a more personal stay. Composer themed rooms, small but all the space I needed, comfortable bed, nice location. Parking is just a block away in a parking garage. Communicate with the staff about your arrival as they have to let you in the gate, also they are not on site during the night.

DO NOT GO TO THIS INN! It is impossible to find; it is totaly inconvenient to find and unload suitcases. Tiny; tiny rooms. Parking is a half a block away. Stay somewhere else. It is very quaint and upgraded nicely.

Excelsior: exceptional!

I would love this to be our new Eugene hotel! I wish we would’ve known about The Excelsior before now! Charming; quiet; secure; low-tech (no 27 LED lights blinking at night, staring into my sleepless eyes); courteous and helpful staff; delicious, home-made breakfast included; competitive pricing; and classical music themed rooms. This kind of hotel attracts like-minded guests; and we were not disappointed. And there were little touches, too, such as a nightlight in the bathroom, and a wine opener with the ice bucket! We’ve stayed at more expensive venues with less amenities. Each staff member went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable. By the way, that was a great bed.

Hidden gem

This is a slightly dated yet super conveniently located B&B. The staff was delightful, the continental breakfast delicious and I will definitely consider staying here again the next time I'm visiting my daughter at the University of Oregon.

Charming, well-run, comfortable

Our room (Shumann) was tiny and on the top floor. The bed was surprisingly good, the soundproofing top notch -- we had a peaceful night's sleep. Would have loved to eat at the restaurant but it's permanently closed. Parking is in a structure across the street and I would have been nervous walking back to the hotel late at night if I had been by myself. I appreciated the subtle scent of the toiletries and lack of strong air freshener as I am sensitive to perfumes. Immaculately clean, staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice boutique accommodations just minutes walk from the University. Very clean with a friendly staff. Secure access. Covered parking and Continental breakfast included. Unfortunately, the general surrounding area seems dirty with a significant homeless population.

I think this property is right next to a bar. My room was on the ally side and people were loud and drunk and making a ton of noise from 1am-3am. I got no sleep. Also the beds are rock hard and not comfortable :(

Small hotel. I am a tall person and I kept banging into the ceiling. It was a vaulted ceiling and when I went to the sides of the room, I would hit my head. Good at the restaurant was outstanding.
