McLean hotels

I was in Washington for a short conference at Georgetown University. I could not get accommodation at the Conference centre as it was booked out - but in retrospect this was the best thing that happened to me. It meant I got to stay at the Fraham Washington hotel instead. It was 20m from my favourite shops and cafes, in a very clean and safe area of town, a short walk from the riverside walks and eateries - and was the most amazing hotel. My room wasn’t in fact a room but a huge suite. The decor was modern, everything was spotlessly clean and to top it all off, there was a rooftop space with views to die for! The staff were friendly and soon recognised me as the woman returning repeatedly with large shopping bags. Already I’m looking for a reason to return!

Stairs in apartment. Wifi did not work in sitting room. Empty unattractive fireplace in bedroom. Bumpy scary lift. Cleaning issues. Lumpy mattress. Not large enough bed. Looking straight into other people’s bedrooms from window.
