So much to see in the local area, and such a delightful place to stay, we wish we'd booked for longer. Everything we could possibly need was supplied, and the June heatwave made an afternoon dip in the pool a real treat. If we return to the Dordogne, it would be for a longer stay in this charming cottage.

La Roque-Gageac is a great base from which to explore the area, with many sites and beautiful villages within an easy drive. The House of Gabarrier, was perfectly situated in the heart of village with lovely views of the river. We were surrounded by shops and restaurants, but still had privacy and at night it was quiet & peaceful. The house provided all that was listed, but any condiments for cooking, and laundry products, you need to bring with you. The little private courtyard has not been maintained, so it was different to the photo we had seen. All in all, we were comfortable and really enjoyed our stay at this property, in this beautiful village.

Jardinier cottage is all it promised to be. Quiet, restful, spacious and beautifully restored with a super comfy sofa and bed. We loved the semi-rural location with complete quiet and the short drives to explore were a delight of quiet pretty roads that meandered through ancient beautiful villages, Sarlat within easy reach. The hosts go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable with great amenities and you feel truly welcomed with bread, wine and cheese, it was a so appreciated. Highly recommend!
