We really enjoyed our stay at Cloud 9. The location could not be better with direct beach access and fantastic views. The house is very cool with a eclectic art collection, well equipped kitchen and an amazing gin collection. Couldn't have enjoyed our stay more and would love to go back for a longer stay.

even better than anticipated, a beautifully restored original , not prissy' authentic ,oozing character, wished I had the gear to repair leak in rowboat, and wonderful coalrange definitely needs good dry kindling and coal supply, otherwise all one could want!

After not visiting Waitati for over 10 years, my sister and I were excited to spend a couple of nights there. We were welcomed warmly by Allan and the dogs, and given a bowl of free-range eggs! The accomodation itself was tidy, warm and very comfortable, with all the amenities you would need. The views of nature out the windows were just perfect. More than anything, it felt like a home away from home and I can't wait to come back and stay there again. Thank you for a lovely experience!

We loved staying in this quirky, characterful cottage in a beautiful setting on the doorstep to all the places and activities we wanted to experience on the peninsula. The cottage is an experience in itself and if you are the person sleeping upstairs you need to be prepared to climb up and down a stair ladder into a loft space that is confined. The living space is small so you had better like the people staying with you! It is quaint and charming, warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.
