Everything was as expected from listing nice to have some supplies in pantry

The Perch is a wonderful place and we had such a great time. The owners were excellent to deal with. The house was more than we expected. It has tonnes of room for a big group, and the views are to die for. And the beach, well, that is priceless.

Great location and accommodation. 6 off us stayed, 2 parents and 2 adult sons with partners, plenty of room for all.Well set up with all the comforts of home for a restful beach stay.Close to beach front, only one home in front. Easy booking process and great communication from property manager.Beautiful swimming beach.

Our group of Forest and Bird friends had a wonderful time at High Water Bach on lovely Oakura Beach. The house has a great capacity to host a good sized group and there is no shortage of any crockery, cutlery or pots and pans in the kitchen area. Wonderful sitting out on the deck in the sun, swimming just out your front door and many wonderful walks to be had. It's worth a visit to Mimiwhangata for those who like walking and exploring. Highly recommend this bach and thanks to the owners, we all had a great time.

Highly highly recommend to stay at this beautiful spot. The place meet our expectations and more. Perfect for families and larger groups. Steve was fantastic to deal with. We were all blown away!!!

Superb Holiday home for family and friends.

We were a group of 2 families with 4 children from 3 years to 13 years. The bach was perfect for us despite a day of heavy rain and strong winds. The 2 living rooms were useful as was the Sky TV and fireplace. Everything was clean and new and having the beach at the doorstep made it very easy to supervise the older children who could walk down to the shore by themselves! The fire was cozy and there was plenty of hot water. A serene and isolated spot that is perfect for those wanting to get away from a busy routine!

This property is paradise there was nothing, absolute nothing we could fault. Off grid, solar powered but yet we had more than enough power to watch tv, charge things you get my drift. Very private and quiet, good when you need time to let the mind, body and soul rejuvenate. We spent most of our time fishing, caught a few good sized snappers for our dinners. Gathered oysters. Most mornings walk up the hill behind the cabins and watch the sunrise whilst having our morning coffee. My 2 dogs were free, as much as we work hard throughout the year, so do my dogs,guarding and protecting us and our home, was good to see them be free to explore nature. Alan the host,as my partner says in his words “is the man” and a “rally driver”he introduced himself, escorted us to the property,and gave us a low down on things, for that we are greatful. We have never come across a host who has gone out of their way to do this. Ngā Mihi Alan, thankyou for sharing your BIG piece of paradise with us. Will definitely be back again.
