Gorgeous location, beautiful home with lovely artwork throughout. We enjoyed everything about it and hope to be back!

Great bach with awesome views

Pete's place is a lovely hideaway nestled in beautiful native bush. The house is cute and quirky with amazing views from the deck and bed! Per the description, there are a number of stairs from the car to the house through the bush, so pack lightly (it's not terrible, but you wouldn't want to carry the kitchen sink). There are a few lovely walks to do from the house including down to their local stony beach, and a wonderful sandy beach only 5-10 mins drive away. Bathroom facilities are in immaculate condition, kitchen is well kitted out, and Pete was a wonderful host. We stayed 2 nights, but could have easily stayed 4 or more to really settle in and explore the area.

The Cabin is tidy, and the T&B is super clean. Quiet place to relax and enjoy the sunset. Aaron and Paula are the Best!

I echo the sentiments of another reviewer, that this bach really punches above its weight, and is a hidden gem that is deserving of 5 stars. It sits in a very peaceful little dip with all-day sun. There is heaps of parking for cars and boats. It has oodles of character, and the bar area really makes the stay, giving you a whole extra 'playroom'. The kitchen is spacious and great for dining in, and the lounge, whilst compact, has what you need, including a comfy sofa bed. The owners are close enough if you need them (we didn't) but you have all the privacy you need. There is even a heatpump/aircon, which you don't expect in a rustic property. There is also acres of outdoor space for family fun and games, so even though the back isn't large, you always have plenty of room. The sea is just down the road, an easy walk, with surf beach 10 mins one way and boat launching at kennedy bay 15 mins the other way. Remember to bring in what you need as there are no shops nearby. Overall, a fabulous Kiwi find!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are looking at re-booking for next year with some friends as there is plenty of space inside and out! Plenty of parking too. Lovely forest views and awesome to hear and see the birds! Our son loved it by the stream with the rope swing and building dams. Glenn was an excellent host, checking in to see how we were getting on and if there was anything we needed. He asked for feedback so he could make any improvements for the next guests! I organised this trip for my daughter and her friends as a 30th bday present. I joined them for a couple of days and didn't want to leave. The house has so much character. Perfect outdoor setting also to just be able to chill. The local beach was stunning.
