My sister and two nieces stayed from Auckland. It was a wonderful break with treasured family. We only used the hot tub once as we were so busy. Highly recommend.

This is the first property that was better than the photos. The morning vistas sitting outside having breakfast was just fantastic, but the night view of seeing the Nelson lights whilst we could relax with family over a few drinks was just magnificent.Then being able to swim in the pool and unwind in the hot tub is just an adventure in itself.

Wonderfully preseted and appointed house, excellent prompt communication all made for a great stay.

Our family of six adults thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday in Sally and Wayne's beautiful beach front home. so much so, we didn't want to leave. The views are amazing and the swimming pool perfect for cooling off. The house has everything you need and there is really no reason to leave this gorgeous home, and believe me, you won't want to. Thank you both for sharing your home with us. We are very much looking forward to planning our return trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as it was the perfect spot to relax with the kids (2 and 4), who adored playing outside - jumping on the trampoline, playing in the sandpit, and in the playhouse etc. After breakfast they literally bolted for the door. With the living space upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, this also made helped with making it a relaxing stay. Close to Nelson, we could easily get any where, and return to our quiet spot. Our 2-year old still has an afternoon sleep so this was a perfect for us, and there was plenty to do for our 4-year old. Having a glass of wine at the end of the day under the sun shade in the BBQ area was lovely, this area overlooks a lovely established garden.

The property was clean and spacious with great views. An easy and quiet place to stay with plenty of room for us to spread out. Even though it rained a lot I was able to sit out in the sunroom surrounded by bush and birds and enjoy the view.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pear Orchard Lodge. The place is beautifully set up and thought has been given to what guests will need. We had the whole lodge booked for a family get-together, and it was fantastic to have room for everyone and no 'dud' bedrooms. The kitchen is well set up for catering to a large group, without ever feeling like you are on top of each other, and it was nice to have the large dining table and a serving table. One thing that we agreed would have made it perfect was a comfortable lounge space (particularly for the day we were 'rained in'), but nonetheless it suited us very well. Would definitely recommend.
