Nihonbashimuromachi lake rentals

Stayed here for 5 nights with our two kids aged 7 & 9. I picked it for the location close to a subway station, and to have a bit more space. It was super handy having access to a washer-dryer in room to do laundry, but we didn’t end up cooking anything in the kitchenette. We arrived at about 2pm, check in is officially from 3pm but usually hotels will check if the room is ready and if so let you in earlier without extra charge, however in this case they didn’t even check. It wasn’t a huge issue but would’ve been nice if we’d been able to drop our bags directly in the room first. We ended up leaving them in the lobby and going out. Also a bit odd that they don’t even provide free teabags or instant coffee given how much they charge, but oh well.

We are a family of four with two teenagers. Very similar to the Mimaru we'd stayed in Osaka at the beginning of our trip. It's in a great location as a base to explore Tokyo, short distances to many subway lines and a short walk to Tokyo Station (or a few stops on Bus 15 or 16). Highly recommended.

Stayed for 3 nights in Grand Japanese room which had 2twin beds in main area and a separate room with futons. This worked well for our family group of couple and 1 teenager. Apartment really well equiped with everything you could need and was immaculately clean. Location fantastic, short walk to Akihabara station, shops and restaurants but very quiet. Convenience stores near by for cheap great qulity food and coffee. Only suggestion for improvement would be more and better pillows.
