Really lovely experience to have the indoor/outdoor flow and the separate areas for living room and bathroom. Much better than being stuck in a motel room! Beatiful gardens and easy access to everything in Coromandel Town.
I echo the sentiments of another reviewer, that this bach really punches above its weight, and is a hidden gem that is deserving of 5 stars. It sits in a very peaceful little dip with all-day sun. There is heaps of parking for cars and boats. It has oodles of character, and the bar area really makes the stay, giving you a whole extra 'playroom'. The kitchen is spacious and great for dining in, and the lounge, whilst compact, has what you need, including a comfy sofa bed. The owners are close enough if you need them (we didn't) but you have all the privacy you need. There is even a heatpump/aircon, which you don't expect in a rustic property. There is also acres of outdoor space for family fun and games, so even though the back isn't large, you always have plenty of room. The sea is just down the road, an easy walk, with surf beach 10 mins one way and boat launching at kennedy bay 15 mins the other way. Remember to bring in what you need as there are no shops nearby. Overall, a fabulous Kiwi find!
The property is exactly how it is described, a Bali Haven. Significant thought has been put in by the host to ensure their guests needs are all catered for. An adult venue not really suitable for younger children. It is an excellent base for making day trips in the upper half of the Coromandel Peninsula and is close to Coromandel Township for excellent meals and any resources you might need during your stay.
We loved the Bach, the perfect combination of comfort, stylish kiwi decor, books, puzzles, dvds, board games for indoors and beautiful private garden setting with a short walk to the beach. Kitchen had everything including a coffee machine. Highlight was our walk over te Wainuiototo - New Chums Beach.
Amazing view to wake up to every day also having family dinner and watching that sunset. Kids absolutely loved it and enjoyed the cows coming up to say hello.
