Holiday rentals near Coromandel Historical Museum

The good (great). It is remote and private with beautiful accomodation, private beaches and loads to do, if you're an outdoorsy type. It was, in a word, perfect. You will see us again!The surprise. The cabin we were in was a double story. We were at the bottom with other guests in the top. We didn't know or expect this (possibly in the fine print?) and expected more privacy. There are other cabins that are not built for multiple groups and we expected one of those but maybe it was reflected in the price we paid, which was very reasonable! The couple above us was extremely considerate but it could easily have turned out differently. We did feel sorry for them - our suppers smelled wonderful and we think they would have been aware... if it was you, sorry! Communications are not immediate but thorough. Our host got back to us as soon as she could and was very, very friendly and helpful when she did. It was absolutely worth it and we'll do it again in a heartbeat. We'll be sure to book a single cabin next time round.

Pete's place is a lovely hideaway nestled in beautiful native bush. The house is cute and quirky with amazing views from the deck and bed! Per the description, there are a number of stairs from the car to the house through the bush, so pack lightly (it's not terrible, but you wouldn't want to carry the kitchen sink). There are a few lovely walks to do from the house including down to their local stony beach, and a wonderful sandy beach only 5-10 mins drive away. Bathroom facilities are in immaculate condition, kitchen is well kitted out, and Pete was a wonderful host. We stayed 2 nights, but could have easily stayed 4 or more to really settle in and explore the area.

When arriving at this property we were absolutely amazed at the view from the deck. It was such a breathtakingly beautiful spot. Fantastic access to the beach and only a short drive into coromandel town. We enjoyed many days at the beach kayaking and swimming and then returning to the deck to enjoy our evening. Only a short walk across the road and we were able to experience the sunset. The facilities and overall feel of this property are second to none. The pool table is also an added bonus too! Lisa was a fantastic host with prompt communication and gave us all the information we needed. Thanks Lisa for sharing your bach with us. The location is out of this world and was where I popped the question to my partner. I’d recommend this bookabach to anyone. Words simply can’t describe how awesome our holiday was! Very nice property, sheltered from other houses and a great view of the Bay. Great walks and brilliant sunsets from across the road. Get yourself a dozen half-shell oysters each fresh from Moana and a kilogram of mussels from the main road with a loaf of bread and have a proper Kiwi feed.

Really lovely experience to have the indoor/outdoor flow and the separate areas for living room and bathroom. Much better than being stuck in a motel room! Beatiful gardens and easy access to everything in Coromandel Town.

We had a lovely week away in this property with our two boys. The playground a few houses away is fabulous and we had great times on the beach, which is just across from the park. The house had everything we needed and was well supplied and comfortable to stay in.
