The Coach House is a meticulously renovated 18th century stable block nestled in the spectacular valley of the River Nore, one mile away from the beautiful village of Inistioge. We are registered with Failte Ireland and have been awarded 5 stars. It is in a private & secluded courtyard setting, but with close access to plenty of local facilities in nearby Thomastown (3m) and Kilkenny (12m).
The property itself has been lovingly restored to the highest specifications with hand-crafted oak woodwork and natural stone throughout. Clean, light and spacious, it sleeps 8-11 people in two double bedrooms, one with a sofa bed and thee other with a single bed, a twin bedroom and a master bedroom with king-sized bed, an en suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the valley. An extensively equipped kitchen, including a broad range of herbs and spices, opens out onto a breakfast patio which overlooks the private garden. At the end of the sunroom the back door leads out to 6m² deck with which is the perfect hangout spot to relax and unwind. There is also a gas BBQ beside the deck.
There is a downstairs shower room, a utility room with a washer and drier, and a large conservatory that leads to the two vaulted downstairs bedrooms. Upstairs, the comfortably furnished sitting room has a wood burning stove and a selection of DVDs and Cds as well as satellite television, Bluetooth speaker and WIFI. All duvets, bed clothes and towels are inclusive, as are light and heat.
The local village of Inistioge is a delightfullly picturesque setting on the bank of the Nore with a number of traditional pubs, cafés and restaurants. It is the perfect location for hikes and country walks, especially in the grounds of the dazzling Woodstock Estate gardens.
Nearby Thomastown has an international reputation for its arts and crafts, boasting a variety of studios and workshops to visit, galleries and exhibitions, an artisan chocolatier, cafés and numerous pubs where one can unwind with a pint and some live music.

Dan and Jack were very available after during our stay and it was a wonderful location and a very enjoyable stay ! I highly recommend this beautiful home.
Excellent property and location. River across the road. The only negative was the water pressure and toilets needed additional water to flush, but the house is old, so, somewhat expected.
Wonderful stay in the Irish countryside - beautiful views surrounding the property. Short ride into Inistioge and easily in reach of Kilkenny. Dan was a wonderful host - checked in on us after we'd experienced some car trouble. Home is super clean and comfortable, and has everything you need.
Lovely, lovely place to stay! Plenty of room and very comfortable. The property was beautiful and close to several cute little towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little slice of heaven!
This cottage was amazing. Charming, clean, cozy, decorated amazingly and our host, Dan was so welcoming. The grounds are absolutely beautiful as well. And we can't forget Cocoa and Ziggy who greeted us with wagging tails the moment we arrived! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing conversion of an historic coach house
We were very impressed with our stay. Everything you need and very comfortable. Located in a beautiful country setting. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent a wonderful weekend in this lovely converted Coachhouse and we were lucky to get beautiful sunshine each evening which we enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard. Inistioge is a small but very picturesque town and a great base for exploring Kilkenny.
Wonderful, beautiful property. Very quiet and secluded yet close to everything we wanted to do and see. Daniel was an amazing host and shared lots of stories and history about the area and house. Don't miss a chance to stay here!
We enjoyed staying at the Coachhouse. There is a nice floor plan, large deck and table. The beds were comfortable, the young ones enjoyed the grounds, and there were close side trips to Thomastown, Kilkenny, Jerpoint Abbey and Kell’s Priory.

The house was very comfortable and cozy. We loved every minute of it! It was a perfect home base for exploring the area. The house manager was very welcoming and helpful. We hope to be back. Thank you!
I brought my three Grandsons on their first trip to Ireland, along with my Daughter, Son-in-law, and Son. We had an absolutely Grand Time and the accommodations were just what we needed. And the Owner, Daniel was great and very responsive.

Clean and comfortable in a lovely historic setting!
We visited for a family wedding and were so happy with this property! The home was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of room for our large group, beds were comfortable and we loved cooking breakfast in the large kitchen. Upstairs family room where we played games, watched movies and relaxed. Taking back home great memories of Ireland, and staying in this lovely countryside home is one of our favorites!
The property was wonderful and the country views are beautiful. We love the history of the property and the area. We rented a car which was necessary because of the day trips we took to the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle and Kilkinney. The Northern Ireland tour out of Dublin to the Giants Causeway is definitely worth your time - don't miss it!
We loved our stay at the Coachhouse. Daniel was there to meet us at check in and responded quickly to messages. It is off the beaten path. Make sure you bring food and drink with you if you haven't rented a car. We enjoyed our time relaxing and playing cards after a long day of exploring. It was clean and plenty of room for 8 adults. Would stay there again.
Charming country home.
We loved the space for our multi generational family of 11.
Children enjoyed the outside area, lots of room to run around. The property had everything we needed. The owner Dan was very hospitable and easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend this property.
