About this property

Gite Charlrose at La Platriere

La Platriere is situated in the beautiful southern French hills, 1 km from the small village of Cazedarnes and 6 km from the larger medieval village of Cessenon-sur-Orb and 30 mins by car from the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean.
Access to the house is via a drive down the side of a small vineyard with the property being surrounded by other vineyards. La Plâtrière in the middle of nature with glorious views of the surrounding area and many off road paths for walks.
The house is built against the hill, and over the years, a division into an upper and a lower house has gradually developed.

The owners live in the upper part of the house while the stone built lower part of the house is available for self catering rental. There are separate entrances to the upper and lower house to provide privacy for both parts.


Layout of lower house:-
Characteristic, large living area of ​​approximately 9 x 8 m. With exposed beams and sloping roof, open kitchen, dining and sitting area. Double French doors lead to a private terrace, sheltered from the northwest wind and with unobstructed views over the valley.
Behind this living room are 2 bedrooms one with 2 single beds and the second with a King size double bed. Along a short passage is a bathroom with sink, walk in shower and toilet and then on to the entrance area with the front door. Off the entrance area is a second toilet with a sink. In the main living area is one single bed.
MAXIMUM 5 people.

The house has 2.6 hectares of land containing a small olive grove, and a newly built 8 x 4 metre Salt Swimming Pool, various seating areas and a number hammocks suspended between some of the pine trees all of which is open for the guests to use.

comfortable well equipped gite in a peaceful and quite setting with great views. Owners very nice and friendly. Home made cakes on arrival were a nice touch along with the wine. Pool area really nice and refreshing as fed naturally from the well.

Amazing house, fantastic owner and wonderful location

Charles is a great host, very discrete but immediately available if support is needed. The house looks even better in real than on the pictures! We enjoyed the fantastic pool and the spacious house, which is well equipped. We also enjoyed the beautiful region with wine tasting, canyoning, canoeing, hiking and swimming in the natural pools in the Gorges d’Heric. Great experience for all of us.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming gîte. From the moment we arrived, the owner’s kindness and dedication to making guests feel at home were evident. We were warmly welcomed with a delicious homemade cake and bottles, which was such a thoughtful touch after our journey. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.Das Haus und der Swimmingpool waren sehr sauber, der Vermieter war sehr freundlich . Wir haben viel Zeit am großen Swimmingpool und auf der Terrasse verbracht.Das grüne Anwesen ringsum war sehr schön. Vor allem tagsüber fahren einige Autos auf der naheliegenden Straße vorbei, was wir als nicht so störend empfanden, weil alles andere stimmt.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt, Entspannung pur, Gastfreundschaft par excellence

Von der wundervollen Umgebung mit Weinbergen, Wäldern und Gebirgszügen über den großzüigig bemessenen Raum zur Nutzung außerhalb (großer Garten mit Olivenbäumen) und innerhalb des Objekts (geräumiges Wohnzimmer, viel Platz in der Küche) bis hin zum überaus gastfreundlichen Vermieter Charles, der auch vorzüglich philippinisch kocht - hier stimmt einfach alles. Trotz heißer Temperaturen draußen war es im Innern stets gut auszuhalten, und dazu sorgte auch der liebevoll angelegte Pool stets für eine Abkühlung. Wir kommen gern hierher zurück!

Einmalig freundliche und herzliche Vermieter - selbstgemachter Willkommenskuchen, tolle Ausflugstipps, unaufdringliche Fürsorge. Dazu ein schönes Feriendomizil mit traditioneller Optik und modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Außerdem hervorzuheben ist der Riesengarten mit schönem Blick und die Möglichkeit, direkt im Ferienhaus bekocht und massiert zu werden! Also: wir kommen wieder ;o)

Vacances paisibles

Pour commencer je tiens à remercier nos hôtes pour leur présence discrète, toujours souriante et bienveillante. Le gîte a été une excellente surprise: très grand, agréable et ne manquant de rien (peut être juste de quelques fourchettes en plus 😉). L’accueil a été plus qu’agréable Entre la gentillesse de Charles et les petites attentions prévues (table mise, cookies maison, bouteilles de vin...). Un cadre de vie au calme avec une très jolie piscine parfaitement entretenue tout comme le reste du terrain et de la maison. La voiture est indispensable pour aller faire les courses et trouver des activités mais c’est exactement ce que nous recherchions pour nous garantir des vacances zen. En bref nous sommes ravis.
