How about going on a vacation to Madeira and having all the comfort as if it were your own home?

This apartment has everything you need, with exceptional comfort that will leave you in the clouds. With simple and city decoration, this apartment is located in a quiet area, very close to the city center, where you can find many tourist attractions, museums, restaurants and shops.
With a comfortable living room and an outside balcony, this apartment has two bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, which can accommodate a maximum of 4 people. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can dine with all the tranquility that your holiday deserves.
If you rent a car the property has a free parking place.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Situated in one of the most prestigious areas of Funchal, this flat is close to supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, bars, theatres and the Casino of Madeira.
Next to the Casino you will find the stunning Santa Catarina Park, with large green areas for jogging, relaxing or picnicking overlooking the amazing bay of Funchal.
The location is ideal for exploring the city by foot (ten minutes walk from the cathedral, the marina and the city centre) or by public transport (bus stop is within two minutes walk).

GETTING AROUND
Although a aerobus bus stop for airport arrivals and departures is within five minutes walk distance from the flat, we recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get there. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport!

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Bad experience

Our booking was canceled by the host one week prior to departure. They simply did not charge the remainder to my credit card, then claimed that the Appartement was not paid and then canceled. Even worse, the host kept the advance payment. Worst online experience ever! DO NOT BOOK HERE!

It was very disappointing experience. Non-functional utilities, ex. dishwasher. Apt Was not Stocked with basic amenities like shampoo, tissues, paper towels.. etc. For a two bedroom apt, the 2nd room was a joke with super tiny and creaky beds, absolutely no space for two people to be in the room at the same time. No air conditioning and fan were not helpful either.

Tudo muito bom. Boa localização. Parque de estacionamento privado. Wi-Fi. Água quente sempre. Limpeza. Coisas menos boas. Fácil de mudar. O barulho do exaustor na wc da suite. Meter uma melhor tv na sala com comando. De resto tudo excelente.

We booked the place for 1 month, but wanted to leave the next day. Ended up staying 2 weeks, as the city was overbooked during the high season. Communication was next to none: they even failed to meet us at the apartment, even though their taxi took us there. The apartment is run by an agency, so don’t expect a very warm attitude. The entrance to the building has giant cockroaches(yes, really). They are there almost 100% of the time, so unless you arrive by car, you will be playing a jumping game trying not to step on them each time you enter/exit the building. The apartment looks much nicer on pictures, than in real life. Very poorly decorated, worn and with extremely uncomfortable beds. There’s no aircon. This means you’re either stuck with fans that make a lot of noise or you need to open the window, where again you’ll hear a lot of noise in the morning/at night. You can live in this apartment, you won’t die or anything, but you probably won’t enjoy it very much. Our vacation was a bit ruined by this apartment. One of the worst Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. Not sure how come it has such nice reviews.

Illheus III is a very spacious appartment with really all you need. We never before had an appartment so fully equiped. Even an own parking place in the garage, which is very handy in Funchall. Shops, restaurants and supermarket nearby.
