Home away from Home

The property is wonderful. Clean and tidy, well laid out, very comfortable with just the right balance of snug-ness and roominess. Everything worked perfectly, never too warm nor cold. A lovely experience and hopeful of a return in another season. Thoroughly recommend.

Great stay in high quality accommodation

We had a lovely time at The Stable, it had everything we needed for our small family trip to the New Forest. Exceptionally clean, with a high quality finish throughout the accommodation. The terrace area was a beautiful sun trap, perfect for a nice cold drink after a ride or walk through the forest. Mark was a great host, very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Lovely modern yet cosy cottage. Me and my family had a great time.

Me, my partner and our 3 children had a great weekend staying here. Mark and Astrid were very friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was very clean and had everything we needed, including a travel cot and steriliser for our baby daughter which was a huge help. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the new forest. The only small things I think would improve the property would be some form of heating in the bathroom and the smoke alarm near the oven needs to be removed! There is a heat alarm in the kitchen and smoke alarm in the hall area so really no need for that alarm as well and it is in a really bad position right near the oven. Every time we used the oven it set the smoke alarm off, which I’m sure our neighbours wouldn’t appreciate it in the evening or first thing in the morning. It’s an easy fix though ( I’m an electrician so know what’s involved), I would definitely suggest removing it. Other than that the property is absolutely brilliant!
