About this property
Cottage With Indoor Swim Spa in New Forest National Park for families or couples
Detached New Forest cottage in village of Frogham. This year we have added a heated indoor swimspa to the cottage, it has 3 controllable swim jets to swim against at one end and a benched hydrotherapy area at the other.
This is our home which we used to only rent out during the school holidays, it is certainly not your bland holiday let. It has a homely, characterful feeling and is furnished accordingly.
My sons are letting a property in Godshill, which has been renovated for the past 5 years. It sleeps 6 and has a cedar hot tub which is in a covered cedar structure - please see VRBO uk 10275131
It has a south facing cottage garden with a private gravel drive for several cars. Due to the location within the New Forest National Park, ponies, cows and donkeys roam the surrounding roads and area - and seem to favour our driveway entrance as a sunning spot. There is a pub The Foresters on the crossroads which has recently changed hands and the food has improved according to a recent guest.(March 25)
This is a home from home, a smart TV with apps for amazon prime, netflix, catch up TV, plentiful books, dvds, games, and basically a fully functional 'everything' - because we live here when not on holiday in one of our other homes.
The cottage has a traditional kitchen with an heartwarming AGA for the cool winter months. It also has a renovated 'Fordingbridge' cast iron range - which has only ever been used in power cuts - but nevertheless makes a great addition to the history of the cottage.
The living room has an inglenook with functional wood burning stove.
The oak staircase leads up to a landing with bookshelves and storage.
One single bedroom has a single bed with guest bed below (John Lewis, which converts to a 5 ft kingsize bed). The bathroom has bath with shower over, wc and basin.
There is another single bedroom with handmade oak bed with new mattress. This is where the travel cot is housed.
The double bedroom has a pocket sprung divan bed and a small ensuite with wc, basin and shower.
The garden is a typical cottage garden, with countless seating areas throughout the garden and sun loungers in the tried and tested sun traps.
If you are unsure of our credibility, check our other properties on this site - you can read the reviews to see that we do provide genuine, quality, homely holiday accommodation - they are for us too, not just for letting out!

About the host
Hosted by Angela ZW

We are a family of four, we have 2 sons aged 26 and 30. We live in a cottage in the New Forest which we restored over 3 years and have subsequently extended.
We both had careers but enjoyed restoring our home so much that we carried on developing in the UK and renting out properties. It is now our means of income and way of life.

Why they chose this property
We bought the cottage as a derelict shell in 1984 - it was 2 small new forest cottages of cob, brick and slate. The house is in a great position to start walks/cycle from without the need to resort to a car.
We are in a small village which is a ribbon development. There are horses, donkeys and ponies on the road outside and a wealth of other animals in the surroundings.
We spent 3 years working on the house and have since extended the house and added a conservatory. The cottage is classed as a small dwelling, so no huge extensions for us, It has retained its cosy cottage charm and we have added a modern twist.
The house is 2 miles from Fordingbridge where there are all the shops and services you would expect from a small town. Larger facilities are in Salisbury - 12 miles, Southampton - 20 miles and Bournemouth - 16 miles.

What makes this property unique
A car is required to access the property as we are in a rural area with no public transport as such - once there, with supplies for your stay, a car is not really required.
The cottage is perfectly based to start circular walks/cycle rides from. We never tire of walking from the cottage - there are pubs very close or at longer walking distances for pub lunches or summer evenings.
This is a home from home - for real, we used to let the cottage out in school holidays, but now it is all year as we can fit our stays accordingly with our travels abroad.
The house has everything you would expect and more.
It is a cottage so expect low ceilings, small rooms, inglenook, wood burner, wifi, antiques, aga (for a few weeks in winter only due to cost) but it has the luxuries of modern life-dishwasher, oil central heating, double glazing and even a swim spa.
It is a home so we have all our pictures, books, and games even a phone to use to call family in the UK or mobiles in the UK.
The area is not brilliant foe mobile signals but we have a private fibre network in the village.
