Castagnatello is a delightfully restored Country House immersed in the Tuscan countryside, wonderfully situated between the luscious Amiata Mountain and the enchanting Val d’Orcia.
Castagnatello, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, offers breathtaking views of the nearby hamlet of Seggiano and of the green rolling hills at the foot of the Amiata Mountain.
Castagnatello can host up to 24 guest in six beautiful apartments furnished to high standards, all offering private panoramic terraces or covered patios that open directly to the charming garden surrounding the estate.
In the garden there are a spacious infinity swimming pool offering great views and two BBQs.
We are also magnificently located as a starting point to visit charming places in southern Tuscany like the Val d’Orcia and its lovely villages (Unesco World Heritage site); to enjoy the renowned wine producing areas of Montalcino and Montepulciano; to spend a day out hiking on the cooler Amiata Mountain with its BBQ areas and natural parks; or to spend it at the beach, which is just 1 our away, visiting beautiful seaside villages like Castiglione della Pescaia.

Nice place. Good location for visiting many of the small Tuscan cities. Restaurant options on Castel Del Piano and Seggiano somewhat limited but not bad.

Loved our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Castagnatello! We were a group of 4 adults who stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was fully outfitted and had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We loved the pool area and only wish we had booked a longer stay to relax and enjoy the amazing view. It is truly stunning. Nathan and Gaia are amazing hosts who speak perfect English. Communication was excellent! Our emails with questions were answered promptly. The area is so peaceful and quiet. Getting there was easy with the Google Map directions provided. I highly recommend staying at this property!

Amazing, Memorable Stay!

We really cannot say enough about this fabulous apartment…it ticked all the boxes. Well, except one, and that’s simply because we were there too early in the season. The pool wasn’t open, and it looked as though it would have been quite beautiful to be out there enjoying the view. The view…yes, the view all around was spectacular! The grounds were beautiful and had the weather not been as cool as it was, we would have been outdoors more. The apartment itself was spacious and fit our needs. We would have liked a microwave, but we still managed without it. There were 4 adults and the apartment was more than large enough for us. When “home”, we spent most of our time gathered together in the kitchen area. We all managed very well! The apartment exuded Italian charm and added to our delight. Dedicated suitcase racks would have been a very good addition, I must add. Communication with Nathan was absolutely perfect, and he was always at the ready to answer any questions. As well, he was very helpful with our itinerary…so much to do and see but so little time. Thank you, Nathan! We highly recommend staying here, and if we have the opportunity to do so again, we most certainly will! It was sad to have to leave! Arrivederci! :)

Wir haben die 10 Tage sehr genossen. Das Landgut liegt in wunderschöner Umgebung. Am Pool hat man eine tolle Sicht und genügend Liegen. Es muss einem klar sein, dass man für Unternehmungen immer das Auto braucht. Die Gegend ist noch nicht vom Tourismus überflutet worden, was wir sehr angenehm fanden.

Tuscan Paradise

My wife and I and our two friends from the UK stayed at Castagnatello in September and the only regret we had was that we couldn't stay longer. The Ulivo apartment was large, clean and fully equipped. The whole property is well maintained and set in a quiet and peaceful location with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, including Seggiano the nearest village. The pool area is fantastic and a great spot to watch the magical sunsets. Nathan and Gaia are great hosts and always willing to help and offer recommendations to make your stay a pleasant one. Explore the nearby historic towns and villages with Castel de Piano well worth a visit, also Siena and Montalcino are within easy reach making Castagnatello an excellent base. Highly recommended.

Picturesque location!

Beautiful, peaceful location with fabulous views of surrounding countryside. The pool was large & clean. Our 12 year old son enjoyed it immensely. Communication with Nathan was easy and he was so helpful. We drove to some fabulous towns and enjoyed great food and wine. The only drawback was no A/C so evenings were warm but a fan was provided upon request. Thanks Nathan!

2012, 2013 & 2014 definitely ! Castagnatello is a charming agriturismo and were received with great attention and sympathy by the owners. Benefits up to the promises . Practical side , the house is located outside the village of Seggiano , though not too far to get there on foot or by bike , the apartments are spacious , quaint and have terraces , the pool is also very nice as well the approaches ! All the comforts ! Have made great walks and cycling in the countryside of Tuscany with all the charms that we know : it is a mesmerizing region wonderfully harmonious landscape , planted with cypresses , olive trees and vineyards hills, villages and the beautiful cities that are real treasures ! We Tuscany and Castagnatello are synonymous with joy, lifestyle , beauty and tranquility without forgetting its gastronomy and wines. For years we explore , and we never get tired in ! In short , we are delighted , but perhaps there he is in our interest not to spread us compliments for the holiday may be taken over and our chances to stay later dwindle considerably ! !

We live between Italy and the UK, were we both worked as scientist for about 10 years.
When our first son Alex was born we decided to settle in Tuscany... no regrets so far!

Castagnatello is an elegant example of a Tuscan Estate at its best, the area is really beautiful, far from the tourist crowd and deserved to be discovered.

What makes this property unique

Castagnatello is a beautiful stone made estate. Incredible is are also the countryside views: really stunning!
The location is also great: we are between the Val d'Orcia (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Amiata mountain.
The countryside between the Amiata and the Val d'Orcia is undoubtedly one of the nicest in Tuscany. In particular the panoramic views we have from Castagnatello are truly stunning!
Castagnatello is a beautiful stone made estate. Incredible is are also the countryside views: really stunning!
Last but not least we are just an hour away from the charming seaside....
