I often read reviews that say how excellent a property is and wonder how true they are. Well for Lochside they are all true. An amazing flat in a quiet block. Every comfort has been provided. I would definitely return to Lochside.
The owners are really helpful.
I can see why it gets 10 out of 10 from everybody who stays there.
The bed alone was worth 10 out of 10. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
If you want the best, go to Lochside.

Stayed here for a week with two children and our dog, the views from the apartment are breathtaking, it is a perfect location for getting away from busy life and perfect for social distancing. The apartment was clean and a check list had been left showing the extensive measures that had been adapted to ensure Covid 19 compliance. The WiFi and smart tv are amazing, for those too wet to go out days. Dunoon is a great place with a good local park with a zip line, so very cheap but definitely luxury holiday.

We recently stayed at Lochside whilst up for the Cowal Highland Gathering.
We recently stayed at Lochside whilst up for the Cowal Highland Gathering. The accommodation was very comfortable, spotless and had everything you could possibly think you would need. We visited different parts of the area and the flat was an excellent base for the surrounding areas. Lots to do in the area as much or as little as you choose with so much close by.
After two very wet days at the Cowal Games it was lovely to come "home" to dry off and relax.
Excellent communication with Dave & Mary our hosts, who made sure we knew to contact them with any difficulties, we were lucky enough not to need them.
Highly recommended Lochside and hope to return very soon

We had a wonderful week at Lochside - we stayed here with our 2 young children, and the facilities were perfect! We especially liked having an Alexa. The beds were so comfortable, and the flat was light and spacious, with beautiful views of the tidal "river" which changed direction! It was great value for money and we'd definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lochside.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lochside. Everything we needed for our week’s stay was provided including fuel for the wood burner, a lovely welcome pack and all essentials which were of a very good standard and extremely clean. The living area is spacious with comfy furniture, a large television and a good selection of DVDs. The view when having a meal at the dining table was amazing and we were welcomed by a heron most mornings. The two bedrooms are of a good size with more than enough wardrobe and drawers space. A very efficient shower over the bath was very welcome after a long walk, as was the bath itself.
Lochside is in a lovely quiet location with fantastic views over Holy Loch and close to fantastic walks but with a pub, cafe and shop within walking distance as well as a service station. Kilmun itself has an arboretum and Benmore Botanic Gardens, Pucks Glen and Glenbranter Waterfall Trail are all short drives away and the scenic Isle of Bute is easily accessible from it.
We highly recommend Lochside as a base for a holiday or just a quiet retreat.
