Romantic studio with semi private pool



Ariana's studio with airconditioning is spacious and romantic. There is a double bed and for a third person there is a sofa bed. You can cook your own meals in the kitchen and enjoy the view from your terrace.
A shady footpath through colourful gardens with Mediterranean plants leads you to the pool area. The 50m2 pool is a peaceful oasis surrounded by flowers and shrubs. There is ample space with sun-loungers for the guests to relax. At the far end there is a bar with a fridge and a barbecue for the exclusive use of the guests. Guests can enjoy night swimming in the lit pool which is for the sole use of the guests Ariana's Apartment, Ariana's Villa and Ariana's Studio.

Location and things to do nearby:

A small road from Kastelli-Kissamos leads up to the hamlet of Kato Kounopitsa. Ariana's Place is in a stunning location on a hillside overlooking the small town of Kissamos, the sea and the olive groves. This little gem is perfect for those who want to be near all the amenities of a small Greek town, but also appreciate the peace and quiet of the countryside. Imagine picking flowers from the garden or herbs for cooking and making tea. It takes less than 5 minutes to drive to town or to the nearest beaches.
We like to provide our guests with tips and suggestions for day-trips, hikes, snorkelling and scuba diving in the Bay of Kissamos, shopping, where to find the best tavernas, and other practical information.
Literally from your doorstep you can go on walks and explore the local area, which is rich in wild flowers, little churches and ancient sites.
Ariana's Place is a perfect base from which to explore the west of Crete. The beautiful white sand beach of Falasarna is only 20 minute away, or a little further you can visit the sandy beach and nature reserve of Elafonisi, or you might wish to explore the Gramvousa peninsula and the famous lagoon of Balos with a day trip on a boat.
There are many beautiful gorges to hike, for example Deliana, Anidri and Agia Irini.
For those who are interested in ancient Crete there are wonderful museums in Kissamos itself and in Chania. The museum in Kissamos has some of the best-preserved Roman mosaic floors in the world, while the Historical Museum of Chania boasts artefacts and carved seals dating back to 1500 AC. Among the interesting archaeological sites to visit are Polyrrinia, Falasarna and Aptera.
Kissamos has many superb restaurants and fish tavernas where you can enjoy the traditional Cretan cuisine.
The nearby historical Venetian city of Chania is a must for cultural history and of course shopping. You can buy handmade leather goods in the famous 'Leather Lane' and visit the popular covered market. Chania also has numerous excellent restaurants near the historic harbour.
There are endless possibilities for day trips elsewhere - to Paleochora and the south coast, the White Mountains, the Samaria Gorge, monasteries etc.

This is a very tranquil place to be. Our host Ariana was most helpful. She organised taxis and pre booked restaurants for us. Lovely views from our balcony over a deep ravine and to the town below. On the days we stayed home, we made use of the pool area and sun loungers. The studio was spotlessly clean and we got a towel change halfway through our stay. It's a very private location with only the other guests about. Walk down to town, taxi back up

A little bit of paradise

Fantastic location, the views were amazing, surrounded by a valley and lovely gardens. The studio is perfect, clean and well equipped, lovely outside balcony to sit out on an evening and eat breakfast. Arianne was very welcoming and was there if we needed anything, and contactable by WhatsApp at any time. The pool is so beautiful. We walked each morning (on a good road downhill) into Kissamos, and caught a 5 € taxi back up. Loved it so much going back next year. Kissamos is a lovely small town with lots of lovely bars and restaurants and great beaches. A very special corner of Crete.

Great place away from the crowds

The studio was fantastic for two people and more spacious than I'd anticipated. It's in a great spot overlooking the town and very secluded, which is one of the reasons we chose it. The pool isn't overlooked and has amazing views all round and, on the occasions we used it, we had it to ourselves. The gardens were beautiful too. However, perhaps the best aspect of it all was the host, Arianna. She was extremely helpful and, having got to know your likes and dislikes, offered various suggestions for trips out. We took her advice and weren't disappointed at all, we'd certainly have missed out on things had it not been for her help. On one occasion, the toaster stopped working and she was round with another one minutes after receiving my message! The place is absolutely recommended, thank you Arianna.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und ruhig und toll angelegt. Der Pool ist super und sehr atmosphärisch. Die Wohnungen haben alle eine großzügige Terrasse mit Meerblick. Das Studio ist einfach ausgestattet, aber es ist alles da. Ariana gibt der Anlage eine persönliche Note, ist sehr freundlich und hat uns mit tollen Tipps versorgt. Kissamos selbst ist nicht sehr touristisch, was auch an dem nicht so schönen Strand liegt. Man kann den Ort aber problemlos zu Fuß erreichen. Den Weg fanden wir nicht sonderlich anstrengend. Die Steigung ist schaffbar. Auto ist dennoch ein Muss. Ein schöner Strand befindet sich ca. 20 min in Falassarna.

Ich habe mich rundum wohl gefuehlt. Das Haus liegt wunderschoen ruhig oben auf dem Huegel und bietet eine fantastiche Aussicht auf das Meer, die ich von meiner grossen Terrasse aus genossen habe. Das Studio ist sehr geschmackvoll restauriert, sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet und die Gastgeberin hat sich nicht nur ganz wunderbar um alles gekuemmert, sie hatte auch noch super Tipps was Ausfluege und Restaurants anging. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Kissamos, dans un cadre magnifique et reposant. Schöne, ländliche Oase der Ruhe

Arianne ist eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns auf Anhieb willkommen und gut empfangen gefühlt. Die Unterkunft hat einen schönen ländlichen Flair. Die Poolanlage ist wunderschön in der Natur gelegen und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist bei Arianne genau richtig. Ariannes Unterkuft bietet den perfekten Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zum Strand Falassarna, Elafonisi und Balos. Auch Chania ist nicht weit entfernt. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit und würden wiederkommen! Man sollte wissen, dass die Auffahrt zum Parkplatz der Unterkunft relativ steil ist. Dies ist weiter aber kein Problem, wir sind immer gut rauf und runter gekommen mit unserem Mietwagen. Man sollte sich nur darauf einstellen :)

Il posto perfetto per visitare l'ovest di Creta

Se vuoi visitare la costa ovest di Creta e le sue famose spiagge Kissamos è sicuramente il punto di partenza ideale. Da Kissamos puoi raggiungere in un'ora di macchina Elafonissis,20 minuti Falsarna, 50 minuti (compresi gli 8 km di sterrato) Balos e in 30 minuti Chania e spiagge limitrofe. La struttura di Arianne si trova sulla collina a cinque minuti di macchina dal centro di Kissamos. Pertanto in una posizione tranquilla, nel verde e nel silenzio, circondata da uliveti. Il mio era un monolocale molto grande con letto matrimoniale, cucina, divano e splendida terrazza con vista sulla baia sottostante e sulle colline intorno. Nel piccolo complesso di tre appartamenti è presente una bella piscina perfettamente curata con a disposizione sdraio e ombrelloni. Perfetta per rilassarsi dopo una giornata di mare. Il complesso di appartamenti è molto curato ed Arianne è una padrona di casa presente, disponibile ma molto discreta. La vostra privacy e tranquillità è al primo posto. In definitiva la casa di Arianne è il punto di partenza ideale per visitare le bellezze della parte ovest di Creta. Grazie Arianne per la splendida ospitalità.

Paradiesische Erholung auf Kreta – Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt in Ariana’s liebevoller Oase

Unser 15-tägiger Aufenthalt auf Kreta war einfach fantastisch. In Ariana's Place konnten wir wunderbar vom Alltag abschalten und die Zeit in vollen Zügen genießen. Die Unterkunft und die traumhafte Poolanlage sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet – überall begegnen einem charmante griechische Akzente, wunderschöne Dekorationen und eine bunte Vielfalt an Blumen, die das Ambiente perfekt abrunden. Besonders liebenswert fanden wir auch die Katzen, die Ariana mit großer Sorgfalt hält. Sie werden im Laufe des Aufenthalts zutraulich und lassen sich nach und nach gerne kraulen, was zu einem besonders heimeligen Gefühl beiträgt. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist, dass die Unterkunft auf einem Hügel liegt, weshalb ein Auto in der Regel unverzichtbar ist. Ariana selbst ist eine überaus aufmerksame Gastgeberin, die sich stets Zeit für ihre Gäste nimmt und mit hilfreichen Tipps zu Restaurants und Freizeitaktivitäten zur Seite steht. Arianas Place ist einfach ein Paradies auf Erden! Nur Ruhe, Sonne und Olivenbäume. Der Garten und der Poolbereich sind wunderschön angelegt und laden zum Entspannen ein. Der Blick über die Bucht und in die Berge ist einfach nur toll. Die Lage eignet sich perfekt um Kretas "Wilden Westen" zu erkunden. Erholsamer Aufenthalt in den Bergen mit Blick auf Kissamos

Wir waren 14 Tage im Studio und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Morgens eine Runde im Pool. Herrlich!!!! Die Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet und es ist der mediterane Flair, der uns sehr gefallen hat. Wenn wir wieder Richtung Kissamos reisen, sicher auch wieder in die Anlage von Ariana.

Un bel endroit qui permet de rayonner dans la région, tout en étant préservé de la foule dans laquelle on peut se plonger en moins de 5'. Havre de paix au milieu d'un jardin luxuriant

Malgré une arrivée tardive au port de Kissamos (minuit), Arianna a organisé les choses afin que nous puissions accéder à son logement en toute sérénité (organisation du transport depuis le port jusqu'à chez elle et vidéo du lieu où nous devions loger). Hôte très accueillante et bienveillante, toujours disponible mais également discrète. Pour ce qui est du lieu : lieu authentique, tranquille et reposant avec une vue imprenable et panoramique sur la montagne et la mer. Superbe jardin et piscine plus que rafraichissante au milieu d'un cadre naturel exceptionnel (oiseaux de proie survolant fréquemment la montagne). Endroit dans les hauteurs, à l'abri de l'agitation de la ville que l'on peut rejoindre facilement en 15 minutes de marche. Un séjour qui nous a fait du bien. Nous retournerons chez Arianna sans hésitation!

Un cocon de bien être !

Excellent ! Le studio est très propre, fonctionnel, atypique. Sa petite terrasse avec vue sur la mer et les montagnes crée une ambiance de bien être assuré. La piscine se fond dans un écrin de nature composé de multiples fleurs et de plantes verdoyantes et luxuriantes. C'est tout simplement un délice. Son éclairage la nuit est idyllique ! Ariane est une hôte bienveillante, accueillante, chaleureuse et disponible pour répondre à vos questions sur son île en différentes langues. J'ai déjà recommandé cette location à mes amis.

Arianne is originally from Holland and lived in Luxembourg for several years before she came to Crete. She has a degree in Health Sciences from the University of Maastricht. She loves gardening, cooking and walking.
Because she speaks 6 languages she is a good host for guests from many different countries.

Why they chose this property

Arianne fell in love with the Kissamos area many years ago because of the beautiful landscape and authentic atmosphere. Tourism is still not dominant here; normal Greek life goes on in this olive farming region throughout the year making her feel very much part of the community.

What makes this property unique

Arianne immediately loved the unique location of Ariana's Place so close to Kissamos but set in a natural environment. She spent two years on the restoration and the whole property is now set in a mature Mediterranean garden. The pool area has become a little oasis with all the exotic plants around it.

The location is perfect to explore the area. There are many gorges to hike, you can go to famous beaches like Balos and Elafonisi or visit archeological sites. There are numerous places for snorkelling and diving. The whole west of Crete is fantastic for drives, weather you're interested in nature or culture.
