2 Bedrooms Duplex Apartment, enterely renovated in a classified historical building, with very high standing, located in the heart of the historical city of Oporto, with unforgettable views on the Dom Luis Bridge, Douro River from one side, and Palacio da Bolsa, Sao Francisco Church and Infante Dom Henrique Square from the other side.
This apartment is located on the last and 5th floor of a building with an elevator. This building is known as Baron Forrester has spent some time leaving there.
Joseph James Forrester devoted a part of his life in a laborious survey of the River Douro, with a view of improvement of its navigation and a separte map of the port Wine districts, reprinted in England in 1852 by order of a select committee of the House of Commons. He was created Baron de Forrester for life in 1855 by the crown of Portugal, made knight commander of the orders of Christ and Isabella la Catolica, and received the cross of chevalier of various orders of his adopted country.
This Duplex is a real unique diamond in the historical center, with 2 Suites with 2 balconies, one in front of the Infante Dom Henrique Square and the other in front of the Dom Luis Bridge.

Stay here, you will not be disappointed

My husband and I loved our one month stay at this beautiful apartment in June 2025. You can tell by the photos it has everything that you need. The view to the Luís I bridge is perfect, You are 1/2 block to the Riberia and Douro river. 100’s of restaurants are within a few blocks. This is the prime location to stay for a few days or an extended stay like ours. Marc was a wonderful host, He replied promptly to all communications, Enjoy enjoy! Porto is a beautiful city, drink the port and eat a franchisinia

Fantastic Location

40th annversary trip

We were two couples traveling together this place was beautiful and we both had our own spaces snd bathrooms. In addition if you want to see Porto it’s the perfect location!

The apartment is in a perfect location. The views from the top floor balconies are postcard spectacular. The property was well appointed and very clean. The hosts Marc and Fernanda were very attentive and helpful. We loved our stay in Porto.

Perfectly located, spacious apartment. You're near everything you could wish for. We were lucky with the weather (end of October) and were able to use the balcony on the upper floor a couple of times during our stay. Owner Marc was very accomodating.

Fabulous property in a great position

We had a lovely stay in Porto in this great apartment. Perfect position just back from the Riviera lots of restaurants and bars nearby though we tended to walk into the city where it was less touristy. The balcony from the master bedroom has wonderful views across the waterfront. Porto was a great city small enough to walk around although a little hilly, helped to walk off the huge meals and pastries! Couldn't see everything in the time we were there so will definitely be back and can't think of anywhere better to stay.

Perfect Location and Wonderful Views

This apartment was lovely. Both bedrooms and the living room had spectacular views which were the jewels of this apartment. It looks exactly like the website pix. We loved our stay here. It had a clean, modern rehabed interior of the whole building. Very well done and very nice materials were used. Communication was easy. We were met at the apartment and shown around. It was extremely clean, very modern and spacious size. This could be a luxury rental w a few minor upgrades and additional amenities. The downstairs bedroom had an extremely hard uncomfortable mattress. Upstairs was a lovely mattress. The sofa in the living room needs replacing. We had the basics upon arrival. Plenty of tp & paper towels. To put it over the top, a bottle of local wine, water, and a little bit of starter groceries would be perfect. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. This was the place to stay!

Great stay!

We stayed at this property for three days in May 2018 (2 couples from Canada). It has a wonderful layout for two couples as you have separate areas on two floors with full private washrooms. The views from the master suite are spectacular. The double bed in the second bedroom is very firm but that worked for us. The upstairs master bedroom is two twins together to form a king size. It was very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. We basically used it for breakfast prior to heading out for sightseeing. The owner Marc was very accommodating and always prompt when contacted for information. The area is a wonderful location, convenient to public transportation. We did not have a car in Porto and managed well. There is parking close by if required. . If stairs are a problem for you then this might not be suitable. It is on the 5th floor and there is an elevator lift but to get to it you still must use some stairs. We would definitely stay at this property again!!

Location is fantastic

The location of this property is wonderful. We've never been to Porto before so we weren't sure on where to stay. Once we arrived at this apartment we realized we made a great choice. It is on a busy street, but cafe's and just about everything you need are minutes away. The river is either out the door to your left (3 min) or to your right and right (3 min), which offers many options for entertainment. About the property itself: Pros: as mentioned the location. It is very clean and is almost exactly like the pictures show. Nice living room area and kitchen. Both bedrooms were very spacious w/their private bathrooms. All the rooms have a small balcony to step outside and watch the bustle of Porto or the park across the street. Upstairs bedroom has a large terrace. Both bedrooms have air conditioning. It was 88 in early May, so it was much needed as opening the windows makes it very noisy with the busy street. Building is very quiet but stairs and entry very nicely kept clean. Cons: there are about 30 steps from street level up to the elevator. Elevator holds 2 ppl with luggage. Upstairs bedroom does not have a door to the beautiful staircase so privacy could be an issue. Marc was very responsive and very accommodating when our bus had issues and was delayed several hours. Overall a wonderful place to enjoy while resting your tired feet from exploring all day and night. I would highly recommend.

As advertised! Beautiful living areas, comfy beds, great neighborhood . Easy to get to all the sights. Yet plenty to see right on the streets. And we felt safe inside and outside.
