Le Loft du Four à Chaux – A unique Place to the rhythm of the sea, in Paimpol
🌊 A singular past, an intact Soul
Once a wooden boat shed, converted into stables during World War II, and later used as a workshop for sorting oysters, this historic building has been beautifully renovated into a unique living space. Even today, it continues to vibrate to the rhythm of the sea.
You may be surprised by the sound of the wind in the ropes of the masts from the nearby shipyard, or the crash of the waves against the breakwater on winter days. If you love the ocean and its ever-changing nature, this place is made for you.
From the second floor, you can almost touch the seagulls soaring in the updrafts in front of the huge bay window. At sunset, the western light bathes the space in golden, warm reflections.
🏡 A Rare, Light-Filled Space, Perfect for Gathering
The Loft can accommodate up to 8 people, with 4 bedrooms, two of which have their own private bathrooms. On the top floor, the 100 m² master suite offers a spectacular view of the entrance to Paimpol Harbor. It includes a lounge with a pool table, a hot tub, and promises timeless moments of relaxation.
The large, light-filled living areas directly overlook the channel. You can watch the comings and goings of sailboats, fishing boats, and tall ships, especially during the "Fête des Chants de Marins," held every two years in August.
🌿 Outdoors and Amenities for a Worry-Free Stay
The beautifully landscaped garden is ideal for barbecues, extended terrace aperitifs, or moments of relaxation on the sun loungers. The 3000 m² property allows parking for up to 2 vehicles behind a remote-controlled gate.
🚶♀️ Everything at Your Doorstep
Located between the beach and the town center, the Loft is the perfect starting point for exploring the Breton landscapes. The coastal trail GR34 runs along the granite wall of the property: in just a few steps, you can reach the Tossen seawater swimming pool or go hiking to the Abbey of Beauport and the Cliff Trail.
All shops, restaurants, and cultural activities are within walking distance: summer concerts (Les Mardis du Port), the maritime museum, an art-house cinema, the market, the skatepark, sea outings, and visits to Bréhat Island… everyone will find something to enjoy.
