About the host
Hosted by Alan Lupton - Lupton Properties

I grew up in Canandaigua and I live and work in the area today. There is so much to experience in the Finger Lakes, and I can offer you some great suggestions on the most interesting things to explore in the area.
Why they chose this property
Island View Escape has one of the most beautiful 1/2 acre, level lake front lots on Canandaigua Lake. With a beautiful view of Squaw Island, 14 acres of adjacent forever wild park land and 120 feet of level lake frontage, you cannot find a better spot in the Finger Lakes! Part sun and part shade so everyone wins. And it is close enough to walk for ice cream, Roseland Water Park, Wegmans, Inn on the Lake, Wine and Culinary Center and many other local restaurants and bars.

What makes this property unique
At the heart of the Finger Lakes are, of course, the 11 pristine Finger Lakes themselves as well as the surrounding parks. You can visit one of the state parks within the Finger Lakes region or get on one of the lakes that make up the region's namesake. Enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer in the Finger Lakes.
Wineries, what the Finger Lakes are most famous for and for good reason. White wines, especially the Rieslings, are not to be over-looked during your next trip to the Finger Lakes. Don’t forget, the Finger Lakes are also home to a number of breweries, hard-cider producers and distilleries making the Finger Lakes a growing hot-spot for farm based beverages.

There is a wide array of outdoor fun to be had in any season in the Finger Lakes. Rest assured many businesses are open year round and the Finger Lakes doesn't close down in the winter. Visit one of the ski resorts during the winter, cast away to catch some fish during the spring, get on the water during the summer and enjoy the foliage during the fall.
Additionally, Civil rights, religious freedom, literature, flight, boating and more have roots in the Finger Lakes. This has all been well documented and preserved in the many museums and historical sites found throughout the Finger Lakes. There are local galleries and museums where you can explore the history of the Finger Lakes.
