Beautifully renovated village house with plunge pool, terraces, and a castle view. Everything we needed for our 4 night stay was provided. Surrounding countryside was beautiful and tranquil. Welcoming host provided a wealth of local information. Loved our time here.
We are a family of 5 traveling Europe and without a doubt, this stay has been a highlight of the trip. Gemma is a great host and the house is lovely to stay in. Plenty of space, everything you need, a pool for the hot days and wonderful views up to the castle. The village itself is was a great experience; peaceful, in a lovely setting and handy to many things. We would definately stay again.

Great vacation in an beautiful and very comfortable house
We had an unforgettable time in a very nice home connecting modern luxury with an old stone architecture. Our kids had a time adventure of getting to a pool through a cellar. And we loved the jellys from Gemma. Thank you very much, we would like to come back!
We have rented many wonderful homes, and this cottage was certainly one of the best experiences we’ve had. The spacious and beautifully renovated home is thoughtfully designed, containing everything you need to enjoy a comfortable holiday. All the household items such as linens, appliances and kitchenware, are top quality, If’s located in a historic, charming, quiet village and overlooks the ruins of a castle. This picturesque area is filled with unlimited possibilities to hike, visit archeological sites, charming medieval villages and museums, such as the nearby Dali museum. Many thanks to Gemma, a lovely, knowledgeable and personable host who is available to help you with anything you need!

THANK YOU BOBBIE!
With guests llike you, it is a pleasure to be a host!
Sensitive to multiculturality, history; respectful with everyone and everything... it has been an honour to host you in our home.
Best regards, and see you soon
The house is even better than it looks. The kitchen is well equipped. Barbecue grill was clean and ready to use. A/C worked great. The pool was great to dive in after a day of exploring. One thing I wish we knew is that the house is closed to a tiny stream and mosquitoes feast on us the first evening. We didn’t feel them and realized only in the morning m. Be prepared with mosquitoes repellent if you plan to enjoy the lovely evening outside.
The village is really quiet and feels really local. A few easy walks/hikes start from there. Nearby in Pont de Molins, the carnisseria (butcher) sells the best sausages for BBQ and further up the street, you can get basics groceries and bread.
Gemma was really easy to communicate. She organized a mid week cleaning which was really appreciated. She also makes and sells amazing jams. We continue to enjoy some now that we are home.
We would defer stay there again and recommend this house.
Thank you Gemma for sharing your family house with us.
Alles prima, zeer mooie woning.

Thanks a lot Rene and family! It was really a pleasure to make you feel like home. We know the particularities of a small, narrow village, and try to do our best so our guests only see the advantatges, hahhaha.
Best wishes, and hope to see you again.

Wir haben das grosse, sehr gut eingerichtete Haus total genossen. Es gab nicht die geringsten Probleme.

About the host
Hosted by Gemma López Fuster
In 2010 I moved from Figueres to live in this lovely tiny village. The greatest and best choice I have had: here my children were born, Martí and Maria. The are raised the best way we know: They play on the street, they learn from the neighbourgs, they talk with the elders, they live the old and quiet way...
In the mornings I like to go out and have a cup of the while I watch the morning dance of the birds, from the oak to the holm oak and from there to the fig tree.
After: I continue my day with new projects in mind.
Why they chose this property
Why should you come and staying with us? Because it is cozy, because it will be like your second home; but we take care of everything.
Because we make it easy: you just have to bring your personal belongings. We pamper you to the last detail we can. Ask us what you need and we will do our utmost for you.
You want a walk near the river: on the left You prefer to go for a walk in the mountain: to the right You want an afternoon near the water: La Caula or El Pantà de Darnius-Boadella
A cold afternoon near the fireplace, with a cup of tea and some table games? Or do you prefer a movie and blanket?
Ca La Conxita was renovated by the family in 2003, conserving local architectural features: rough stone, 4-point arch, rustic floors, wood-fired oven ... without forgetting the respect for the Nature with high-quality insulation that allows maximum savings in energy, as well as solar hot water sanitary panels.
Our last quality improvement: building a private mini pool , which should be ready by june 2019.
Living in the village is not incompatible with comfort.
What makes this property unique
You need a change of scenery
We have air, in fact, we have strong wind! It's the Tramuntana. It takes away all of your negative thinking! And the clouds too. (OR how do you think Salvador Dalí got inspired???)
It leaves us a splendid blue sky. See it from El Castell
We have water: La Caula, Les Gorgues and La Muga
We have land: walking route through El Camí de La Muga
