Beautiful, clean and well appointed kitchen, great pool!
So, first of all, this is a beautiful place, that has recently been renovated, and it shows. The ground and rooms are all spacious and the rooms are all en-suite.
The bar area and large 'games room' were a little redundant though as no food or drink was allowed to be consumed in either of those areas, which we all found bizarre, especially the bar room, no food or drink allowed .... in a bar?
The check-in process took seemingly forever, at least 1.5 hrs? which after a long and tiring journey with children is not really what we were looking for.
The pool is fantastic, the kitchen was large, and well stocked with equipment, and all the rooms except for the one right next to the kitchen keep nice and cool due to being almost underground.
We never received our welcome drink as advertised and there were altogether too many rules imposed by the owners, who just so happened to be staying in the apartment which is on top of the main building and just happened to pop in unannounced during the week a few times, which was not pleasant. This is a separate point, the image on the website shows a whole farm houser, which looks lovely and private, but in reality, it is only the downstairs which you have access to, there is a separate, owners apartment upstairs and off to the side, which meant we were lef5t feeling a little overlooked and was not at all what we thought we were going to get.
During the week there were a number of other unannounced and unexpected guests who just happened to be there walking around the property during our stay, which was unsettling as we had children with us. There were a couple of gardeners, a pool cleaning guy among others.
There is a driveway, that you are not allowed to use (i.e. drive your car on), for fear of damaging the surface???
Altogether, I would have given the property 5 stars, but have to take a few away for the lack of privacy and the sheer number of rules that we had to abide by which made us feel less relaxed and more on edge.
Oh and don't fall for the 'Chef at home' experience, we were charged 35 Euros per head for raw chicken!!! which no starters or desserts included.
Final advice, lovely place, but if you're looking for total privacy and your own holiday home for the week, look somewhere else
