Crofters Cottage is finished to a high standard and a lot of thought has obviously gone into the cottage. It was very well equipped with lots of storage. It was handy for local shops/pubs etc. (easy walking distance). It is ideally placed to explore the area. Cragside (National Trust) is just outside the village. Alnwick is 20 minute drive. Bambaugh Castle and Holy Island further up the coast. There was a friendly welcome from Peter the owner.

Crofters Cottage is a very well equipped holiday home.

Crofters Cottage is a very well equipped holiday home. It has been finished to a very high standard. The property was immaculately clean with plenty of storage. Very comfortable beds & lovely bathroom with a great shower. We left the car at "home" and enjoyed the surrounding countryside. It was great for shops and pubs. We had a very relaxing stay and would highly recommend to family & friends. Thank you! ;-)

Fabulous cottage, well equipped and comfortable.

Fabulous cottage, well equipped and comfortable. Owners have taken a lot of trouble to ensure you enjoy your stay. They are close by, too if needed. Nitpicking only improvements would be a cafetière and some lamps to soften lounge lighting.

Peter and Marjorie did all they could to make us feel welcome and relaxed, making Crofter's Cottage

Peter and Marjorie did all they could to make us feel welcome and relaxed, making Crofter's Cottage a perfect little home-from-home. The cottage is cosy yet modern and very well-equipped with all mod-cons. The inclusion of some toys for our toddler to play with was a lovely touch, as was the thoughtful addition of a potty! Rothbury is a lovely little town with a nice range of shops including a Co-op just a few minutes' walk away, and it goes without saying that the scenery and history in this part of the country is well worth exploring.

This cottage ticks all the boxes.

This cottage ticks all the boxes. It was well presented, clean and comfortable. It was spacious and the space was well organised. In a good, quiet location for amenities in the town and for country walks from the doorstep with visitor attractions not far away, including historic places and the wonderful beaches of the Northumberland coast. The town of Rothbury is very pleasant and overall we spent an enjoyable week.

The cottage is spanking new and beautifully fitted out with everything you could possibly need.

The cottage is spanking new and beautifully fitted out with everything you could possibly need. Being right in the heart of Rothbury, access on foot to all the local amenities was really easy. There was lots of welcoming touches from the owners and plenty of information about the surrounding region. The trade-off for the newness and the central location was a rather limited outside space with a bit of an unfinished feeling about it.
