Location!

What a beautiful location! On the grounds of the castle, you feel like a lord of the manor. The cottage is as you can read on the site, everything is there.

Great place with a catle in your backyard

Lovely house at a private gate of the castle. You can access the complete domain as if you were the king and queen of the castle. Very nice and friendly owners and good service. The interior is basic but it fits in the surroundings of the castle. Impression: youtu.be/9c4TFqQoj84?feature=shared

Worst Stay ever in France

Owner exhibited no interest in our stay. Too busy with film crew even to help out with power cut. Not even in country on arrival. I had to contact local Marie to obtain his phone number to point out he hadn't sent us any info on where the cottage was. Even then the inadequate info sent us the day before we left for France sent us to the wrong "WHITE GATES" (not even visible from road). No welcome pack, just a note in kitchen warning us of £250 Euro fine if we didn't do the washing up on departure - but no washing up liquid! We were allowed to walk the same parts of the estate as the public when the public were allowed into the estate but at other times were told to confine ourselves to the far side of the lake where there was no footpath, only waste high weeds. Shall I go on? Kitchen light didn't work, weeds in garden waist high in places and lawn uncut, no hairdryer, dishwasher, butter dish, no list of emergency numbers such as Dr, ambulance, fire, police, local pharmacist, supermarket, bank etc, and the stink in the toilet was only ever worsened in my experience by the long drop at Glastonbury..

Sehr ruhig und naturnah, aber zentral gelegen.

Hat uns gut gefallen - die Gegend ist wunderbar. Die abendlichen Spaziergänge im Schlosspark haben wir sehr genossen. Die sanitären Anlagen sind etwas veraltet - aber ok.

A éviter absolument

Un gîte limite insalubre des équipements du 19 eme siècle une sensation d’étouffement une odeur de suie et de renfermé dans toute la maison les toilettes pue la fausse sceptique une horreur la cuisine et la salle de bain sont une véritable blague seul le gardien David est très agréable à éviter le plus possible 😱😱😱

Sous l’effet de la chaleur ou de l’humidité, il peut arriver que des remontées d’odeur apparaissent. Il faut simplement aérer. Mais, s’agissant d’une maison, saine et entretenue, très régulièrement, votre description ne correspond en aucun cas à la réalité. Dans ce genre de situation, le premier geste est de nous prévenir. Et c’est ce que nous demandons systématiquement à la remise des clefs Mais encore une fois, nous ne comprenons pas ce commentaire

Unvergesslicher Urlaub

Wir haben uns rundum wohl und in sehr guten Händen gefühlt. Das sehr charmante ehemalige Hausmeister Häuschen war mit allem vollständig ausgestattet. Den großen eingezäunten Garten haben wir täglich gerne genutzt. Die Ruhe und Natur haben wir genossen und unsere alltäglichen Hunderunden im sehr naturbelassenen Schlosspark gemacht. Rehe sind hier auch zu finden. Auch durften wir an einer Schlossführung durch ihre einzigartige Portrait Galerie als ihre Gäste teilnehmen. Das Loiretal ist wunderbar von hier aus zu erkunden. Und abends haben wir uns oftmals auf ein Glas der wunderbaren Loire Weine gefreut. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Séjour à la bridgerton :)

Séjour parfait. Ça commence par l accueil très professionnel et sympathique du gardien qui vous emmène à votre cottage. Le portail ouvert, vous entrez dans un univers de végétation qui vous émerveille. Le cadre enchanteur et bucolique rien que pour nous et notre chien ! Les radiateurs étaient allumés à notre arrivée. Les lits étaient confortables. charme incroyable pour notre location. Dommage nous n avons pas pu accéder au jardin qui donne sur la prairie (problème de clef apparemment). Et pour finir la disponibilité et ses conseils tant touristique que gastronomique de notre hôte

Calme et dépaysant

Domaine exceptionnel . Nous sommes accueillis par Monsieur Guy , une personne très sympathique et qui sait vous donner de bons conseils pour les visites . 2 bouteilles de vin de Loire nous attendent dans le frigo ! Le séjour commence bien ! Calme absolue dans un cadre époustouflant tenue par un jardinier hors pair (qui a de nombreux conseils à donner aussi ) . Notre chien a été le bienvenue et heureux de se dégourdir sur ses quelques hectares ! Bravo à vous de faire vivre ce domaine historique , qui nous fait voyager . Merci encore à Guy , David , et sans oublier les guides qui permettent de visiter le château aux horaires d ouverture du public . Excellent séjour . Prachtige fiets- en wandelomgeving

Realiseer je, wat je op de foto's ziet, dat ik het (totale) huis. Het huis is vrij donker en klein. Een kleine zitkamer met tafel en stoelen, een zitgedeelte met twee banken, salontafel en trap naar boven. Een compacte keuken. Een (te) laag toilet en een ruim douche- was ruimte met wasmachine. De douche geeft heerlijk warm water, maar de douchedeur lekt erg, waardoor tijdens douchen veel water op de vloer komt. Ook de wastafel is laag. Helaas hangt er een vervelende stank bij de was/doucheruimte doordat de riolering niet goed is ingesteld. Bij gebruik wasmachine of douche wordt dit erger. Gelukkig hadden wij mooi weer en konden we continue ventileren. De trap naar boven is niet prettig. Er is een losse trede en de treden zijn ongelijk, waardoor ik de trap gevaarlijk vindt. Boven is een slaapkamer. Als je door deze slaapkamer heen loopt heb je nog een slaapkamer met een groot bed. Er is een heerlijke omheide achtertuin. Ideaal met onze hond. Er is een zitje buiten met een paar houten stoeltjes. Ook mag de hond (aangelijnd) in het grote park van het Chateau Beauregard. Het is een schitterend mooi park. We mochten ook buiten bezoekuren het park bezoeken, echt super mooi! (linkerdeel van het pad). Ook leuk om te picknicken, je hebt een schitterend uitzicht over het meer. In de omgeving heb je prachtige fietsroutes (met duidelijk aangegeven routes) en relatief dichtbij het stadje Blois. De verbeterpunten (gevaarlijke trap, veel te laag toilet, lekkende douchedeur en stank in huis) heb ik doorgegeven aan eigenaar / beheerder, zodat hij gelegenheid heeft eea te optimaliseren.

Wundervoller Urlaub

Wir sind ein Paar von 64 Jahren mit einem kleinen Hund. Wir haben hier einen nahezu perfekten Urlaub verbracht. Viel Ruhe, Kultur und Natur. Der sehr sympathische Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Er hat uns mit Wein und hilfreichen Ratschlägen begrüßt. Das Haus liegt ruhig am Rand des Schlossparks. Die eher wenigen Touristen kommen selten und im Abstand vorbei und haben uns nicht gestört. Das Haus ist hübsch und hat alle unsere Bedürfnisse erfüllt. Der zum Haus gehörende Garten ist komplett eingezäunt, so dass wir unseren Hund dort frei laufen lassen konnten. Besonders gut haben uns auch das Schloss und der wunderschöne große Park gefallen. Das Schloss, das wir umsonst mehrmals besichtigen durften, ist sehr interessant und kann durchaus mit den bekannteren Schlössern mithalten. Wir schwärmen immer noch unseren Freunden und Bekannten von diesem schönen Urlaub vor!

Gîte à rénover

L’accueil de l’hôte est très chaleureux et à l’écoute. L’environnement est beau, mais le gîte en lui même a un besoin de grand travaux. Fausse septique qui sent mauvais, douche bouchée et humidité persistante. Le prix est très excessif pour le confort. Nous remercions le gérant pour son accueil, son professionnalisme et sa disponibilité. Le gîte a un beau potentiel, il faudrait l’exploiter pour le confort des locataires.

Un séjour atypique

Superbe expérience que de loger dans l’enceinte du château. Nous avons même dîner un soir sur la pelouse entre le château et l’étang, quel décor! Le gîte est simple, bien équipé et authentique à la fois. On y a apprécié le lit king size et la fraîcheur des murs en pleine canicule. Seul bémol, l’absence de lave-vaisselle.

adorable cottage in a beautiful spot

we really felt like we had our own private chateau grounds staying at this lovely little cottage. everything worked well and the owners and managers were well organized and thoughtful. even with a lot of rain it was a wonderful weekend. dog friendly owners and plenty of space for our city dog to stretch her legs was appreciated. Fürstliches Ambiente

Das kleine Gite war für 2 Wochen unser einfaches, aber gemütliches Zuhause. Wir konnten die herrliche Ruhe genießen und hatten einen optimalen Standort zur Erkundung der Loire im Bereich zwischen Orleans und Saumur. Absoluter Bringer war aber der 40 ha große tolle Schlosspark. Insbesondere für unseren Hund ("alles meins") war der Park ein Hochgenuss. Check in/out völlig unkompliziert. Wir empfehlen dieses Häuschen gerne weiter. Merci beaucoup!
