About this property

Cottage for Contemporary Characters

Our charming property has a modern twist on a traditional cottage, with cosy fittings and lovely finishing touches.

When booking our cottage we only accept Saturday to Saturday bookings and only full weeks ie 7 days or 14 days etc

The entrance leads into a spacious, light and airy open plan kitchen/sitting and dining room. It has slate tiled floor and a wood burning stove. THE KITCHEN is fully fitted with all the essential equipment such as: an electric oven, hob, larder fridge, dishwasher butler sink and a range of fitted shaker style units. There is a breakfast bar dividing the dining area from the kitchen which seats two. THE DINING AREA has a circular dinning table that seats five comfortably also a two seater sofa, TV and occasional furniture.

THE UTILITY ROOM is found off the kitchen. This contains: a freezer, washing machine, electric clothes airer, picnic basket and storage baskets for fruit and veg. Moving through there is a DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM which has a suite of a bath with overhead shower, WC, wash basin and a heated towel rail.

A door leads from the kitchen to THE BREAKFAST ROOM which is furnished with a circular table and four chairs. This looks out onto the garden. The pretty enclosed GARDEN is to the rear of the cottage which is approached via a few steps, it is dog and child proof (owners have a miniature dachshund and a retriever) it has attractive planted boarders, gravel paths and a patio. There is a picnic bench and a large BBQ as well as two steamer chairs.

A door leads to the garage which is now a GAMES ROOM this has an astro turf floor, leather sofa, a games table with air hockey, pool and table tennis and two exercise bikes.

THE LOUNGE has an electric style wood burner, two, two seater sofa's, two bucket chairs, coffee table, TV, DVD player and occasional furniture. Comfortably seating five adults.

Upstairs there are three attractive bedrooms. BEDROOM ONE, has a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, a wardrobe, chest of drawers with a mirror and chair there is also a stored travel cot. BEDROOM TWO has a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers, mirror and a clothes hanging rack. BEDROOM THREE has a single bed, bedside lamp, chest of drawers and a clothes hanging rack.

There is a shared upstairs SHOWER ROOM, with a shower cubical, WC and handbasin.

There is parking on the roadside for two cars and one smallish off road space.
