Great time in Pembrokeshire

We had a wonderful time in this property, it was as described and had everything required for our stay. We enjoyed the immediate locality and vicinity of the beaches. It was also a great base for exploring the whole region. Would definitely stay again on our next visit.

Very well equipped property in a beautiful location just a minute from the beach. Limited eating options in the immediate area but good food within 10 minutes drive. Recommend Druistone Hotel.

Westerly

We loved the comfortable cottage which is very equipped and well located only a short 3 min walk from the lovely bay and the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastal path. Everything from the cottage to the beach was clean. We had a great week and would certainly recommend the cottage and the area.

Lovely cottage in perfect location

This cottage was perfect for our beach holiday, everything and i mean everything you could need was there. The hosts were fantastic to deal with. My only niggle was that the duvet was not big enough for the bed but thats just my observation. We will definately stay again

Easter 2022 family getaway

Excellent location, The Mariners is a great local pub, wonderful walks in all directions and a beautiful beach. The property is well setup and it’s a good job our 26 year old son enjoyed playing with the Lego as it took his mind off the low ceiling in the loft room. We would definitely book again.

Wonderful week in Pembrokeshire

We felt very comfortable in the well-equipped accommodation and had enough space for the four of us. The small village with its own beach, pub and the Coastpath right in front of the door quickly captivated us. The contact with Julia was very nice and uncomplicated. We would have liked to stay another week…

Perfect Family Cottage

We have just returned from our stay at Westerly with 3 kids and a dog, thoroughly relaxed. Fabulous cottage full of homely essentials and plenty more on top of that. The cottage has a great layout, perfect for families with children and is in a beautiful location, so close to the beach. Julia was wonderful, organised and great with communication. We visit this area quite regularly and this was the nicest holiday cottage we have had so far, we will definitely be returning!!

Comfy cottage in an excellent location

Well equipped cottage a stone’s throw from a beautiful beach. Everything you could think of was there. The garage is stocked with wetsuits, body boards, buckets, beach chairs, crab lines.....you name it. Having a wet room accessible via the back garden made sandy footprints through the house a thing of the past. Very quick responses from the owners to any queries. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage if you want to explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline.

Westerley Cottage

We stayed here for a short 4 day break and we will definitely be returning. The location is excellent, a literal stones through to the most idilic secluded cove. We went in mid October and hardly saw a soul. Felt like the place was just hours. The accommodation is excellent and has everything that you could possibly need during your stay, from TV and DVD’s through to books and games for entertainment. There is also the full amenities of a house so cooking and cleaning. The washing machine and tumble dryer came in very handy after some long walks on the beach with our dog. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break away.

Great location and lovely property

We had an absolutely lovely visit over the Coronation weekend. Couldn't believe how close we were to the beach. Literally a 4 minute walk, and the dog was welcome too. The hosts attention to detail was exempt and the well stocked garage with everything you need for a beach day is a fantastic bonus to this property. The rooms were immaculate and the space was airy and bright. Even the low ceiling upstairs was an amusement. Correspondance with the host was easy and always a quick response. Would definitely recommend this little gem to anyone who wants a quiet base with beach access, and so many beautiful places to visit only minutes away.

Wonderful cottage in an amazing location!

We had a wonderful stay at Westerly for 3 nights in early September. We live in Canada but our daughter went to Wales for a University exchange program and we were fortunate to travel there with her. Wales is truly amazing - the people, the nature, the history, ... Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. At the cottage, the attention to every detail to make your stay comfortable is fantastic and the surrounding area is incredibly beautiful. We would absolutely recommend the cottage to other travellers. We only had 2 full days so didn't see as much of the Pembrokeshire area as we would have liked to. The cottage is only steps away from the beautiful coastal trail. The first day walked along the coastal path north and then took the Puffin Shuttle to St. David's and spent the day there exploring the church, city and surrounding coastal area. The second day we walked along the coastal path south to Druidston for lunch. It would have been so easy to fill at least another week taking the shuttle or a taxi to different points along the coast and then walking along the trail or exploring other villages. The local food is also great and you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views while you eat. Julia was exceptionally helpful and friendly from the time we decided to book the cottage and on into our stay. We are so grateful to her for all her help. We have dealt with many great people through VRBO but Julia is truly in a class of her own. She even helped us to secure a local taxi company to pick us up at London Luton, drive us to drop off our daughter at Swansea University and then take us on to the cottage. If you don't have a car, we would highly recommend using Morgan Taxi in St. David's. They were so accommodating and friendly. Julia also catered our first dinner at the cottage. It was delicious and very convenient to come to the cottage to a home cooked meal. I'm not sure if she will decide to offer this service or not (we were very willing guinea pigs) but if she does, we would highly recommend it. It was a wonderful, if too short stay!

Lovely property in a beautiful location

My partner and I stayed with a few friends over the New Year. It was so close to the beach and coastal walk. The house was cosy and had everything we needed... Accept for toilet roll which I would recommend taking extra. It would be an amazing place to have kids as well as there are lots of games an dvds, and the attic space is a fun den. We had a slightly unfriendly welcome from a neighbor which was an unsettling start, but we met some other neighbors who were lovely and friendly. I think the hostility was due to covid fears. Overall a really great stay and brilliant communication with the hosts. Also love the felted art on the walls!

Warm and cosy, a home from home

Perfect location for beach lovers and walkers. The cottage is clean and cosy. So well-equipped with all manner of things to make your holiday even more enjoyable: wellies, wetsuits, buckets and spades, body boards, the lot! Same story for the kitchen, plenty of pots, pans, tins, crockery, good knives, glasses, soup blender etc etc. Comfortable beds, immaculately clean throughout. The children loved the loft room with all the games. Our dog loved it there too. Beautiful framed felt-work art pieces throughout, added to the ambience of the place. Thank you!

A week away in Nolton Haven…

Perfect week away in Pembrokeshire with our young family. The house was an excellent base for walking and very close to the pretty and clean beach at Nolton Haven. The house is small but perfectly formed and offered everything we needed for our stay. The owners are super informative and helpful and we know what to expect every step of the way.

Property was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed. Wet room and boot room at the rear of the house was really useful. Garage well stocked with equipment and toys for the beach. Only a few mins walk to Nolton Haven beach which was great. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in Nolton Haven or close to a family friendly beach

So good I've already booked for summer 2021.

Lovely, clean, uncluttered and cosy. We spent most time in the kitchen, but the terrace was lovely. The teenagers camped out in the attic so had the whole upstairs to themselves. The kitchen was very well equipped, wet room was a real bonus and the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. We love this bit of Pembrokeshire so having such a lovely and great value base was a real bonus. And I'm already looking forward to our stay next August.

We live in Bristol but have been holidaying in Pembrokeshire for the last thirty years. The beauty of the coastal walking and the ever-changing sea never cease to lift our spirits and replenish us, allowing us to deal with the hustle of our busy lives. It is a wonderful area for photography with beautiful views and wildlife. We also love the outdoor activities and enjoy swimming, surfing, kayaking and coasteering.

Why they chose this property

We were drawn to Westerly because of the closeness of the sea and Pembrokeshire coastal path. All of the activities we enjoy can be accessed from the cottage without having to drive.
